QUOTE("Hayate") Ico - Got stuck and gave up less than an hour in. I was trying to light a fire but the problem is there is no button for the action "light stick on fire." I'm not liking this as much as SotC because it seems like it's trying too hard to be a sandbox-esque kind of escort mission within a limited system. What happens instead is an unspoken "Look around! Explore! Be creative!" but with a complete lack of instruction which results in me getting entirely too frustrated to even try. Actually, there IS a button for "light stick on fire." It's o. That got to me too, because they NEVER explain the controls. You also have to use O for swinging on ropes and pretty much everything else that's a unique action. Still one of my favorite games of all time. I've been playing Flower Sun and Rain, and despite the admittedly awful gameplay, I'm quite enjoying it. I'm also playing Shadows of the Damned, which is actually fun to PLAY, but it doesn't have that same atmosphere that really hooks me with Killer 7 or Flower Sun and Rain. Alongside that, I'm FINALLY on the endgame of Persona 3, and about 10 hours into La Pucelle: Tactics, which I'm loving. I'm also playing Stretch Panic, which is incredibly short and easy, but fun. QUOTE(Nana @ Jan 8 2012, 10:14 AM) Actually, there IS a button for "light stick on fire." It's o. That got to me too, because they NEVER explain the controls. You also have to use O for swinging on ropes and pretty much everything else that's a unique action. Still one of my favorite games of all time. Oh thank god. XD Now my next problem is that I need a fire that is not ten feet up on the wall because I would imagine the O button doesn't work for when he's hanging from a ledge next to the wall torch or when he's flying through the air at it. aaaaaaaaaaaa Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Actually really loving this game, but maybe it's just the novelty that I like about it because it occurs to me that it could be infuriating to replay because of how slow it progresses. Fi is extremely helpful as a companion but I really hope she develops a kind of passive-aggressive sense of humor or something later. I forget she even exists because she's so boring to talk to (although I suppose Midna spoiled me as far as companion attitude goes). Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones - Playing this and FE7 sometimes when I'm not at home. Ephraim's route is haaaard. Also my Amelia sucks and it's very distressing. Borderlands - Still playing this on and off when I have my computer in front of me and someone else is using the TV.

Nothing, at the moment. Until Lent came about, and I—already eating little and with little joy—decided to fast by no longer playing it 'till Easter, I spent some three to five hours per day on Crusader Kings II, however. It's horribly fun, painfully addicting, and atrociously time-consuming; easily Paradox's best game to date. I assume that its fascination stems from the fact that it combines to things that are already very fun and satisfying by themself: the identification with your character (like in a role play), and the good feelings of seeing the blob on your map that bears your country's colour grow larger and larger thanks to your heinous scheming, shameless opportunism, and never-ending lust for power. Combined, they make for a deadly mixture.

Growlanser II ~ Started this the other day finally, been ballin so far. It's a lot faster than the first, but you don't get to run around town and junk anymore. The music's not as quality as the first either, but some of the tracks are okay. Really digging the previousgamementions, and someone finally said the word "Growlanser".
Xillia ~ Soooooo, we beat that boar and some flameguys two weeks ago, beat up some other stuff last week, then beat up these two jerks and a dragon today. Gonna beat up even more stuff tomorrow since we'll be at .hack glowy tree city. I'd like Leia to get some better attacks, or even better support magic, but whatever. Being able to shoot off fast heals and revives is good enough, and she's good at distracting other things during boss fights. The bosses are still dicks though, and apparently they never get better.
Haven't been playing anything else. I've done everything but Terra's postgame in BBS. Might resume some of the other games I was playing a few months ago, or do some minor Xenoblade stuff once time starts being available again. Getting KI:U next month, can't wait.

Time to remember everything I forgot~
Megaman Zero Collection ~ Finished the first three games, with varying levels of completedness. I have all the elves in 1, but haven't evolved them/gotten Jackson yet. I couldn't handle 2 and its hrnnnng, so I'm missing half the EX skills/power form, but have the ultimate form and stopped caring. 3 was way easy and I got everything that isn't a minigame. 4's not too bad so far, but these games need more spinning jump attack. Or airdash.
Megaman X Collection ~ Reason I bought MMZC. Finished the first five games with all of the endings, aside from 3's letZerodie one. Because it was pointless. Too lazy to start X6, and I don't have any DVDs here for 7/8 anyway. Probably going to continue once I stop caring about Z4.
Growlanser II ~ Not happy with how everyone says 'growlanser' or 'gevel/gevas' or whatever. It's clearly grow, as in 'trees grow', and a hard g in the other two. Freaking America. I'm somewhere in the last quarter/third of the game, stopped because questionmark.
Xillia ~ We fought more jerks, including a katana king who had Dhaos Laser. And Houryuu Zankouken. And was invincible. Shit was bananas. We don't have that much left of the game, so hopefully we can finish in early April.
Xenoblade's too Xenoblade for me to care at the moment. I punched Mario's Picross in the face several times, and only have the easiest puzzles left. Going to try MMBN out once the break ends, and KI should get here in a little over a week.
