DHE World Guidance Translations, for people who Japan not good Options

Since PPA's been PPA, we now have access to the World Guidance book and will be working on translating passages of interest. They'll be posted here(in later posts, since keeping them together won't fit).

THE BOOK LIKES TO USE A BUNCH OF WORDS THAT MEAN THE SAME THINGS AS OTHER WORDS AND I'M MORE SURE NOW ABOUT WHAT WORDS I SHOULD BE USING BUT I'M LEAVING THIS SECTION HERE JUST IN CASE ANYONE HAS ANY COMMENTS:

神々-'the gods.' We all know who they are, but for whatever reason, everyone in the games talks about them like they're still alive, even though they died back in Ragnarok(every game takes place after it). If "the gods" shows up in something talking about stuff after Ragnarok, it probably just means the Magi. If it shows up when talking about the people that made the surface worlds and stuff, it's the gods. They're apparently computers.

守護天使-'guardian angel.' The Heaven's Gate entry thinks this is "Archangel," but Kitten used the term once(supposedly).

地上-'above ground,' the plane of existence that the surface worlds(地上世界) exist in, so it's the surface. You could think of it as a big ring/shell that wraps around the underworld(which is infinite...maybe it actually wraps around the heavens :U), with Asgard on the other side.

冥府-directly translates as 'hades' or 'realm of the dead.' By now it's obvious that the games use "the underworld" as its meaning, but it apparently doesn't describe the entire place.

魔界-'demonworld', this is the whole place, but it's rarely spoken about. I'm pretty sure Zolgonark/Hades just owns most of it, so a lot of it falls under his name. I'M GOING TO CALL IT UTGARD BECAUSE IT'S THE OPPOSITE OF SHINKAI/ASGARD

魔神-'demon gods'. The book calls Zorgy one, but I don't think they have a proper title yet in the localized games. I don't think any others have appeared in the series yet.

魔物-'demonthings', seems to fit with what everyone calls "demons." It even mentions Slimes and Skeletons. THOSE ARE TOTALLY DEMONS. This looks like the term they use when referring to tangible ones.

魔族-'demontribes,' shows up when they talk about demons as a species/race/whatever.

Japan loves adding title and whatnot to their names, but English takes up way more space, so the localizations usually drop them unless they're being silly and using extra words. Some of the localized titles are slightly different from what Japan used, but I think I left everything as their English equivalents.

For whatever reason Japan can't stick to just quotations or brackets or parentheses, so I'll be copying whatever they do for the appropriate words/phrases in the translations. Omittableyetstillkindofimportantwords will go in [] brackets inside the sentences, and stuff in parentheses past the period are just my notes on how silly sounding or confusing the passage/sentence was.

Ancardia （アンカルジア）

マリエッタがユグドラに聖杖を授けた場所。
それにより、後世の者に（アンカルジア）と名づけられた。
この地にネシアの肉体が封印されており。
島ごと海に沈められた。

Location where Marietta granted Yggdra the scepter.
Accordingly, the people of the future were named such(Ancardia).
Nessiah's body was sealed here.
The entire island was submerged in the sea.

Ankh　（アンク）

絶大なる力を秘めた魔導兵器。
レーザーのようなものを射出する。
アンクをふたつ融合させたものをアンクカノンと言い、アンクを遥かに凌駕する力を待つ。
一度放たれれば、その付近は全て焦土と化す。

A magic weapon kept hidden that can become tremendously powerful.
Emits something like a laser.
When two are fused together it's called an ankh cannon, the ankh possesses superior power from afar.
When fired once, the entire vicinity is reduced to ashes.

The Five Dragon Generals (五頭竜将)

ブロンキア帝国軍を代表する、５人の将軍たちのこと。
預言者ネシア、軍神バルドゥス、黒騎士レオン、魔剣士ラッセル、緋雪姫エミリオ５人がこれにあたる。

These five generals represent the Bronquian Empire Army.
They are: the Prophet Nessiah; Baldus, the God of War; the Black Knight Leon; the Astral Fencer Russell; the Scarlet Princess Emilia.(the names are mostly the same, though Russell was more like "Demon Swordsman", and Emilia was "Scarlet Snow Princess"...)

The Accursed (インフェルノス)

冥府において、「強大な力を持つもの」たちを称したもの。
魔神自らの肢体を切り出して創られた上級魔族。
インフェルノスは魔神の次に高位の存在で、魔神に次ぐ力を持ち魔神に従属または隷属している者であるか、または魔神を凌駕する力を持ちながらも、魔神たりえる知性を持ち合わせていない者たちのことを指す。

What 「those who hold power」 call themselves in Hell.
They are[high level demons] created by breaking off the limbs from demon gods.
The Accursed are beings ranked right below demon gods; they serve them because they're less powerful, and the ones that are more powerful server them because they lack their wisdom.

The Undine (ウンディーネ族)

水辺に住み、エンベリア公国を築いた女系の種族。
「転生石」を使い転生することで生き延びてきた。
別名「水の民」。

The race of females that make up the Sovereignty of Embellia; they live on the waterfront.
They have survived by using the 「Transmigragem」　[to transmigrate].
Also called the 「People of the Water」.(I forget if they used some phrase like this in-game, if they did, TELL ME)

女王エメローネによって統治される、ウンディーネ族の国。
湖に浮かぶアクアパレスを本拠地としている。
ウンディーネと人間はもともと共存関係にあった。

Country of the Undine, ruled by Queen Emelone.
Their capital/stronghold, the Aqua Palace, sits/floats on a lake.
Humans and the Undine have[always] coexisted peacefully[from the start].

Scepter of Wisdom　（叡智の聖杖）

守護天使マリエッタがユグドラに与えた、聖杖アンカルジアのこと。
力ではなく知恵により国を治めることを象徴している。
神々の叡智が秘められているという。

The scepter Ancardia, bestowed upon Yggdra by Marietta.
It symbolized her power to rule a country with wisdom rather than power.
Said to contain wisdom of the gods.

The Gods （神々）

数多の地上を創造した畏れ多き存在。
もとは一体の神であり、それが多神化したものといわれている。
神魔戦争で滅び、現在はゴートの七賢がその遺志を継いでいる。

The several feared existences that created the [many] surface worlds.
Originally one unified god, they changed to be [called] multiple gods.
Destroyed/perished during Ragnarok, [currently] the Seven Magi have succeeded them as their dying wish.

The Apex（巨樹の頂）

巨樹遺跡の最上層。
目下には見渡す限りの森が広がっている。
天竜リンドヴルムが王として君臨している。

Highest floor of the giant tree ruins [Nelde].
The forest now spreads as far as the eye can see.
Lindwurm reigns as its king/ruler.

Hanging Garden Riviera （空中庭園リヴィエラ）

神々再臨の地として精霊たちに託された約束の地。
全てを無に帰すほどの威力を持つ「神罰」が封じられている。
元は魔界の一部であった。

Promised land entrusted to the Sprites [as the second coming of the gods?].
The 「Retribution」 is sealed [within], which holds the power to turn everything into nothing.
Originally part of Utgard.

疑似ディヴァインである「詩作型トゥール」の被験体の少女、コードネーム「プリメア」。
未完成の告死天使であり、ヘクターにつき従っている。

Codename 「Primea」, the girl with the pseudo-Diviner 「Prototype Model Skadi」.(lit. "Prototype Model Skadi's test girl," I guess the weapon was more important than her :()
An incomplete Grim Angel, she accompanies Hector.

The Seven Magi (ゴートの七賢)

神々の代理者であり、彼らの遺志を継承する者たち。
神界の実力者たちによって組織された最高機関。
神々とは異なり、元は情も欲もあるヒューマノイドである。

Proxies/agents of the gods　[according to their dying wish].
The most influential group in Asgard's organization...ing.(they run this shit yo)
Unlike the gods, they were originally Humanoids [with feelings and desires].
