How is a 198x187 pixel picture considerable as a wallpaper?

I don't know I just thought if I found something good I should post it. I didn't think it would need to be specfic. sorry......

Hot linking from rpgamer.com is prohibited.

I didn't know that sorry......

All of that RPGamer art is on the site anyways.

The other one doesn't seem to be official art, so you can't use it anyway.
Dr Strum
Apr 23 2006, 03:57 AM
It's official art, what makes you think otherwise?
That it's flipped around?
Raijinili
Apr 23 2006, 04:25 AM
No, the fact that the text is shrunk to unreadable size.
Dr Strum
Apr 23 2006, 04:31 AM
So, because they shrank the text.... It's off-limits?
Raijinili
Apr 27 2006, 01:14 AM
No, but it likely means that it's not an official image. Like that Fia wallpaper.
Dr Strum
Apr 27 2006, 01:15 AM
And your point?
Raijinili
Apr 27 2006, 01:16 AM
It would look rather silly if we put it up, especially since we have a better-quality image anyway.
Dr Strum
Apr 27 2006, 01:19 AM
I'm not saying we would.
I was asking why you said it was off-limits.
Raijinili
Apr 27 2006, 12:39 PM
Because a visible modification makes it partly original work.
Dr Strum
Apr 27 2006, 12:40 PM
So, because he flipped it over its axis, he has copyright?
Raijinili
Apr 27 2006, 11:33 PM
Yes. Go read your copyright law.
It's like Sega can sue you for making and distributing a Sonic game, but they can't sell your game as their own.
Dr Strum
Apr 27 2006, 11:39 PM
I have read my copyright law.
We COULD post it, and they couldn't do anything with it as long as we were not making a profit, and we weren't claiming it as our work.
Raijinili
Apr 28 2006, 03:21 AM
That's exactly why doujin companies can't sue you, right?
Dr Strum
Apr 28 2006, 03:35 AM
Except that those are original creations. Original creations using copywrited characters and scenarios and such, but still.
Raijinili

If you modify an existing game, the original game maker can't sell your work, either.
