This shows how original American cartoons can become generic Japanese cartoons.

Now, I'm no PPG expert, but I'm pretty sure that these things weren't in the original cartoon:
1. Anthropomorphic animals saying their name after a sentence.
2. Stock transformation scenes
3. Belts used to transform
4. Secret identities
5. Bad guys calling out the names of attacks
6. Skinny women with big boobs
7. Gadgets
8. Lolis
9. Generic animation techniques.
10. PPG calling out the names of their attacks.
lightningdude
Oh.My.Gawd. I can't believe they did that. That is just wrong. I'm no PPG expert either, but I can tell that they took poetic license to the extreme on this.
Seans
I've seen sometihing similiar to this before, although fan-made, with Dexter being Blossom's boyfriend...
Silver Seraph
Holy crap! Lolis! At least it seems better than the American version...

Dr Strum
You have to be kidding.

I've also seen that comic.
But this is... strange.
Ultimaninja
I heard that cartoon network tried to make a teen ppg, but not an anime version...
...little afraid...
Raijinili
How the hell is it better than the original? You fail, SilverSeraph. Hard.
Silver Seraph
I said "seems"...

Besides I didn't like the show in the first place and only watched when I was bored...
Dr Strum
That is complete shit compared to the American version.
whoyodaddy
it burns to watch it...
Anonoymous BBS
They just took the whole PPG aspect and ran it straight to the ground.

This is possibly the worst idea Japan ever came up with. Never bring western cartooning into Japanese cartooning.
Raijinili
TRANSFORMERS
chilly
It wasn't that bad...
Raijinili
What, Transformers or PPGZ?
chilly
PPGZ

I haven't seen Transformers in so long, I can't remember hardly anything about it.
Raijinili
Yeah it was.

Transformers the Anime is on American television right now, I think.
Nanashi
I'm waiting for the Bugs Bunny anime. I just know there will be some form of innuendo dealing with the carrot.

Edit: Ok, watching this, all I can say is... Wow, I never did think it would be possible to have an anime like this and not have panty shots. Also, is it me? Or have the Power Puff Girls gotten more...hoe-ish?
Raijinili
They look more like farming implements?
Nanashi
Exactly.
Rhiannon
That's horrible, but now I have to prove Rai wrong because I don't like him enough to not prove him wrong... or something. Also because I can.

4. Secret identities

OH YES THERE WAS.

5. Bad guys calling out the names of attacks

I THINK there was one or two times when this happened. I'm pretty sure the male "versions" of the PowerPuff Girls liked to shout out the names of their attacks. I think. I'M LIKE 70% SURE THOUGH.
QUOTE
6. Skinny women with big boobs

Ms. Belle (that was her name, right?) and random characters that have no name like that one girl who got her hairstyle stolen from that one villain. Also, I think that one villain I just mentioned also had large breasts and was skinny. And there was another female villian who was skinny, but I don't remember if she had large breasts or not.
QUOTE
7. Gadgets

Mojo Jojo had gadgets of some sort... :(
QUOTE
8. Lolis

Must they be portrayed in a sexual way at some point to be considered lolis?
QUOTE
9. Generic animation techniques.

I'd say the animation during the fighting was usually really generic.
QUOTE
10. PPG calling out the names of their attacks.

THEY DID IN ONE EPISODE AT LEAST I AM QUITE SURE. You know, the one where they wanted to be more "interesting" superheroes, not just "little girls with super powers"...
Nanashi
Yeah, the Rowdies called out their attack names. And I think some of the specialized traits got called attack names later (like Blossom's Ice Breath).

I thought that they looked the same all the time?

The PPGs aren't lolis because they have no hands or feet.

The DRAWING STYLE was relatively new when it came out.

Which "they"?

I didn't realize that was a requirement for being a loli.

I'm sorry that you said "animation techniques" and I'm sorry that "animation techniques" makes me think about animation, not the actual art.

The real PPGs.

Well you obviously haven't been paying attention to Newsday Japan.

No you're not!
Rhiannon
QUOTE
The real PPGs.

Well, actually, they don't always look the same. They can dress differently, or murder eachothers hair... But that's not the point. It's not just them that can have secret identities.
QUOTE

NO I HAVEN'T.
QUOTE
No you're not!

... :(
Nanashi
The quotes have me lost. What just happened? Also, was I the only one to notice that Utonium had a sidekick, and a dog, when he didn't in the original series...
Desu
i noticed it as well. I noticed that the first time I watched this...>_>
chilly
I don't really see how anyone wouldn't notice it.
