Basic Field Controls:
+ Cursor/Unit Movement
A Select, Unit Select, Movement Settlement
B Cancel, Hold to display status
L Display main menu
R Auto-select unit, Fast forward dialogue messages
START Display target selection screen
SELECT Unit icon display toggle, Detailed status display

Basic Battle Controls:
+ Change attack mode *
A Use A-Type skill
B Charge B-Type skill, Use
L Pause to display unit information
R Pause to display skill information
START Pause, Cancel Pause
SELECT Not used

Controls for Various Menu Screens:
+ Cursor Movement
A Select
B Cancel
L Differs depending on menu screen
R Differs depending on menu screen
START Differs depending on menu screen
SELECT Differs depending on menu screen



* Attack mode referring to Aggressive/Passive. Hold left to go into passive mode and charge up the meter (no attacking), hold right to go into aggressive mode and use up the meter (attacks more powerful).

I don't know what each thing in the menu does yet... I can only think of L off the top of my head. Hides the text and such when there are background images (like Yggdra or a card).
This is all taken from the manual anyways.

Yes thanks alot for the control settings.
Now when I get the game I will have the upper hand of knowing what each button does without reading the instruction booklet/ learning about it in the game!!!

Thanks a lot for the controls,
but could you tell me please how do you manage to "summon" ? I don't wanna spoil for those who still haven't played, but by "summon" i mean using your cards in an other way than moves.
I'm stuck at Chapter 2 battle 6, and I don't know how to heal T.T`

You mean break outs?
I don't believe you can do that until around battle seven, and I'm not even that far.

You can heal before battles. When selecting characters, if you press right you'll see all your items and a numerical value to the right. IF you use the item for healing, you will -NOT- get the status boosts from the equips. If I recall correctly, the medals heal 20% of your total morale.

I'm guessing morale comes into affect later?
The medalions are greyed out in my game currently.

Your morale is your HP basically. If Milanor or Yggdra have zero morale, it's game over. If your other units go down, they'll leave the battle and the next battle they'll be there with 1 morale. >_>;

Uh..Ok, well instead of pressing right to heal your units, you press left. Just a reminder, you can only equip ONE item at a time. So check your unit's status screen (Select) to see if they have an item on them. The number represents the number of maps it lasts for until it disappears.

You don't actually have to check their status, when in the equip menu, if you press L, at the top where it says their title and level (eg, Sword Maiden lvl 3), it will day what (if anything) they have equipped.
You can also check this on the battlefield, while holding B to look at thier stats, and pressing L. But, if you're in battle, I guess checking if you can equip something would be pretty useless...
