Lacrima Castle _ Other Games _ Trickster Online

Posted by: Seans Jan 17 2007, 04:10 AM

Have anyone played this game, as in actually played it, no just leveled up two or three times? The release of second jobs has resparked my interest in it.

No Seans. No. BAD SEANS BAD *Squirt squirt*

Posted by: Seans Jan 17 2007, 04:30 AM

It's either I post this or post in the Maple Story topic Sauce!

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 12 2007, 06:47 PM

Enzd: Fox
Walrus: Cat
Sauce: Sheep

Posted by: Enzd Aug 12 2007, 10:12 PM

My Fox is named TailsAreFun :3

RAI IS RACCOON AGAIN, CHEF IF LION

Posted by: ChefMKT Aug 16 2007, 02:07 PM

Lions go rawr! Well anyway, as I said on the IRC channel, I'll try to get Isis and Nepthylys cards for everyone.

Posted by: Enzd Aug 16 2007, 02:11 PM

I'm also lazily working on four accounts that will be open to all of LCN.

And I think Sauce said he was going to, also.

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 16 2007, 04:18 PM

RAI IS USELESS. WORSE THAN USELESS. RAI WASTES MONEY WITH EVERY ATTACK.

Posted by: WhiteKnight Aug 16 2007, 10:03 PM

you're not useless Rai. You've saved me from those Mantises MANY times.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Aug 16 2007, 10:11 PM

Yes, I am working on getting those accounts Enzd and I have deemed for the general populace.

oh, and I'm a buffalo. I'm a weak metal cannon because I can only rake so many hits before I see that blue window with a yellow restart bar.

Posted by: FlameSpark Aug 17 2007, 05:56 PM

Heh~
I chose Dragon
Name: Wyen

Right now I'm in lvl 30-ish
Man, magic attacks in Trickster sure eat up a lot of MP >_<
And the cool time is horrible...

Posted by: WhiteKnight Aug 17 2007, 06:00 PM

I love my 1.00 cool time Burning Rave for only 40MP.

290 MP Pumping Heart to boost me up ain't bad either.

Strike critical for MASSIVE DAMAGE!!!!1!!111!

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 17 2007, 07:05 PM

Mastered Geldar Thrower means I'm pretty strong for my level, but I won't get stronger.

Posted by: Megaolix Aug 17 2007, 09:31 PM

I'm a dragon too. But I'm still in the 20 levels...

Then again, I can't spend too much time on it either.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Aug 17 2007, 10:00 PM

Level 33, and I can say that Mana Arrow doesn't take up too much MP. I have over a thousand MP, and Mana Arrow takes a tenth of that. That and the second-long cooldown.

Posted by: Chaos Seraph Aug 18 2007, 01:59 PM

I swear you guys are tormenting me by playing games you know I refuse to play.

I can't get on. It keeps freezing. D:

You played IaMP, so why is this any different?

Posted by: Chaos Seraph Aug 18 2007, 09:28 PM

Because its another fucking mmo.

I can't handle 3 Grindan games as it is.

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 19 2007, 05:22 PM

FlameSpark, what world do you play?

Posted by: FlameSpark Aug 20 2007, 11:04 PM

Jewelia: Ruby

But I haven't been on for a few days (busy)

I may be able to play some hours tomorrow ^^;;

And for some reason, whenever I try to go into Ghost Blue field maps, I get a map error...wierd, I didn't touch anything in the game folder. (and I used to go to those maps a lot)

I ended up having to go to the Nora Sewers and 'hit n' run' on Nora Mummies XD

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 20 2007, 11:31 PM

We're on Fantasinia

Posted by: Megaolix Aug 21 2007, 02:01 AM

With school starting again for me, I have even less time to play...

Oh well, I'll play when I can.

Posted by: FlameSpark Aug 21 2007, 06:44 AM

QUOTE(Raijinili @ Aug 21 2007, 12:31 AM) *

We're on Fantasinia

Haha~...because of Yggdra Union? XD

[EDIT:] Well, I made a Dragon in Fantasia server, since I can't bring myself to delete my 1st Dragon and fix the slight mess I made with his skills >_>

The name is the same as the 1st one, Wyen, different build though...
Jewelia's Wyen: 1432 (Lucky Scavenger build)
Fantasia's Wyen: 1423 (Full MA build)

Went up to lvl 19 in one day (yay)...could have gone higher if I hadn't been interrupted so many times...

Posted by: Raijinili Aug 25 2007, 07:34 AM

So Card Fling damage is based more on AP than on HV, and Card Fling accuracy is based on AC.

Seriously, that's what pops into my head every time I look at that item.

Posted by: Suzu Fujibayashi Aug 25 2007, 11:44 PM

I used to play this but it got dull quick. I think I had a Fox and a Bunny... But I think level 20 was my highest. I think.

I don't like games were everyone looks the same ;_; (Minus tiny differences or those who wish to spend moneiz)

Posted by: Chaos Seraph Aug 26 2007, 12:15 PM

I tried. Seriously. I can't play this game longer than 15 minutes.

Posted by: Enzd Aug 26 2007, 12:52 PM

We played together for over 30 minutes, so obviously you're lying, Asaph.

If your going to bring Riviera names into WoW... Try looking up Yggdra Union names. Both english and japanese. I've used most of the female cast by now <_<;

BUT MOVING ALONG.
The best thing about Trickster:
The graphics are cute. But it's too much like RO, where only headgear shows up. Boo :(

Posted by: Sauce XIV Aug 27 2007, 11:39 PM

You fail, because RO was hella fun. Besides, Shields, Pets, Weapons, and I think Capes (Don't take my word for it) also show up in Trickster.

On a different note, I am a horrible bastard. Some guy was selling really cheap Ultimate gear (like 25k a gear), and me, being the sneaky bastard I am, bought them and NPCed em, making atleast 20k a profit.

Funny you say, my Human Paladin on Cenarion Circle was named Yggdra. I got a lot of tells asking how to pronounce it <_<;

And Sauce, thanks for doing that, really. Poor players don't deserve that stuff.

Posted by: Suzu Fujibayashi Aug 28 2007, 03:10 PM

Do you even know how to pronounce Yggdra? I've been like, using the japanese way of pronouncing it assuming it's pronounced like 'Yggdrasial'... >_>;

Sauce you sneaky, sneaky punk. The poor guy is probably /wristing in his room right now. And it's all your fault.
...
...
...
Congrats. Have a cookie.

And ok RO didn't suck but it did get boring after a while, at least to me... Although the female GM sprite is unbelivably cute... /random offtopicness.

Posted by: Enzd Aug 28 2007, 05:20 PM

I pronounce it as "Iggdruh", since I've been told many times that that is how it's pronounced.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Aug 28 2007, 08:21 PM

It is "Igg-druh", as in how Yggdrasil is pronounced as "Igg-druh-syl"

Posted by: Lucho Aug 28 2007, 08:23 PM

So you guys say I should play this?

Posted by: Suzu Fujibayashi Aug 28 2007, 09:04 PM

If Yggdrasil is prounced with an 'I' why do they say 'Yoo-dra-se-il' in Tales of Symphonia?

I recall my friend mentioning that's the proper 'english' way to say it now that I recall...

@Lucho:
It wouldn't hurt to try it out. It is free to play and the only thing you have to lose is the time it takes to download it and stuff.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Aug 28 2007, 09:56 PM

Because whoever was hired for the voices of Tales of Symphonia doesn't know how to pronounce it.

shitsux don't.

Posted by: Rhiannon Aug 29 2007, 05:33 PM

... and actually, in ToS they pronounce the first part "YIG" and the very last part, the "sil", varies depending on who's saying it. Apparently the voice directing was no good.

You only say it sucks because you have too many other things to keep track of, like your WoW. It's not all that bad.

Posted by: Chaos Seraph Sep 1 2007, 02:35 PM

No, its more to do with the control system ( which I still hate ), the silly amounts of distance you have to point click to instead of being able to autorun, the furries, and the lack of new skills for ages.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Sep 1 2007, 06:00 PM

The animal parts is part of a costume that Megalo requires all participants of their silly competition to wear. Besides, you only have to wear it for twenty levels. I prefer point-and-click as opposed to keyboard-arrow movement, so I won't argue that point. The lack of new skills for ages implies the part of skill builds.

You think you have it bad anyways Asaph? You get Mana Ring at TM 20, you have Mana Arrow at level 1 I think. I've been stuck using Mana Arrow for the past 63 levels. (Arrow Rush doesn't count as a new attack.)

Posted by: Chaos Seraph Sep 1 2007, 11:32 PM

I'm far too used to a system where you gain new skills every 2 levels and levels are far more of an achievement in that sense. And where you can wear most gear you find when you actually find it.

I hate clicking because I use keybinds in WoW all the time, I barely click anything.

And really, the character design still bugs me. Its one of the reasons I don't like LotRO. The characters just look awful.

Plus there aren't any complete healing roles.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Sep 1 2007, 11:51 PM

I hate those types of games because of MapleStory.

I've only used FKeys as hotkeys, so...

I think the character design looks fine. What bugs you about it?

It's said that Light Dragons (2nd class Dragons) are more aligned to healing roles.

You really can't get away with that in situations where timing is impeccable, like situations in PvP. Moving your mouse about just takes too long. Plus target/focus target macros save you having to constantly move your mouse about even more.

I don't really know. Possibly the furriness, how cutesy it is, etc. Warcraft has a history of cartoonyish realistic graphics I've always liked.

I dunno, what you described as a constant influx of skills and where "every level feels like an accomplishment" does sound a lot like Maplestory.

I've never seen PvP in Trickster, but I doubt that the timing is THAT impeccable. And quite frankly I get around just fine thanks to point-and-click. I've tried playing with arrow key or whatever you move with (Final Fantasy XI), and I disliked it a lot.

They could be if you have a good group of friends who'll powerlevel you to second class.

The stat system, the way you fight, and the item system, and the class system, are completely different. The skills don't even work the same.

Well, assuming you have a mage casting his instant pyroblast with 30% damage increase and you have less than 1 second before it hits you via traveling time, as a Rogue, I can avoid it by either using Cloak of Shadows, or Vanishing. Considering I would be more likely focusing on interrupting the cast at that point, or at least trying to stop him even casting it, .5 seconds or more is a fast reaction time needed to avoid instant 6k damage. Thats never a good thing. Or, where I'm stunning someone, and I need to time my next stun in at the second it ends so that I don't lose diminishing returns on the player. Or to kick a Druid casting cyclone ( 1 second cast time ), so that I am not disabled for the fight and I can still help my team.

Or, in a raid situation, such as where a boss will randomly enrage and gain a 500% damage bonus, a Hunter will have to use a tranquillizing shot VERY quickly otherwise the main tank will die and the raid will wipe.

Hell, you don't even need to be relying on skills to have good timing necessary, fights such as Netherspite involve having to constantly shift your raid's position around the room so that someone is always blocking constantly moving and interchanging portals that buff the boss.

Or just simple stuff like a Warrior's overpower, which can only be used after your opponent dodges, and you have 2 seconds to use it. Or shifting as a Druid, and using your spells instantly so you don't remain in your weaksauce caster form long.
QUOTE
What?
I'm not really sure exactly what it is I dislike, I just know I dislike it. I gave some possibilities, then explained why I liked Warcraft graphics.

So you like the feeling of "Hit the button at precisely this millisecond or get screwed over"?

AND MAYBE WE'D HELP YOU GET THERE IF YOU PLAYED MORE, JERK.

Posted by: Suzu Fujibayashi Sep 2 2007, 02:25 AM

Point and clicks are pretty nice I say. If just because they tend to lack the 'Oops I hit the wrong key and died...' kind of thing.

Although I admit I like WoW's graphics more over Tricksters, Trickster gets prop for the cute look. I just hate how it's one of those RPGs where you pick a 'character' rather then make one. I wanna be a female Dragon dangit. Dragons are awesome D:

Maybe if I find stuff to uninstall (I have like 5 free GB on my computer right now...) I might just download Trickster during the times I get bored of WoW or don't have time for it (Like when I start college... ._.)

...
Yeah I kinda just randomly jumped in didn't I?

More like I enjoy a game that I don't phase out of when playing. You don't have to be on the edge of your seat when just normally leveling or doing a normal instance, but at high level play, keybinds count.

Lies

When I play games like this, I play it because I have the goal of getting to a certain level or something, I don't play it for fun. When I play WoW, its because I like messing around and doing new things with friends, or exploring places, or rping, or pvping, etc. I rarely ever play WoW just to level up, I hate games like that.
