Lacrima Castle _ Others _ LCN POKEYMANZ TIERS

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 5 2008, 11:53 PM

LET'S DO THIS.

LET US COMPLETE THE LCN POKEMON TIERS.

Posted by: Raijinili Nov 6 2008, 05:45 AM

Porygon-Z?
Rhyperior?

I'm using Scizor :(. It's a tough baton passer, and mine can't attack.

Raidramon also looks better on paper. High Attack power, but no attacks.

Houndoom is just cool. But no Defense.

Gyarados is always cool.

BUTTERFRAI! HOP HOP HOP!

Octillery.

Posted by: P.P.A. Nov 6 2008, 05:08 PM

I have three assholes and a If You Use These, You're Lame one in the making.

Also what's that about Paras? Just a joke or does it have an actual purpose?

Posted by: Lux Nov 6 2008, 05:47 PM

GOGO GADGET GOLDEEN

IPB Image

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 6 2008, 05:57 PM

Hey, I use Scizor! And it has a nasty 398 attack stat! No Baton Pass, though. It knows X-Scissor, Night Slash, Iron Head, and Roost.

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 6 2008, 08:34 PM

It's not about how good he is, it's about how weak he is to fire and how he's a disgrace to Scyther. :( I'm still not sure if I should add Lickilcky or whatever to that tier or if it gets to be Miltank's new friend. Someone help me decide how horrible Lickitung's evolution is.

Considering adding Seaking and Goldeen to God Tier.

Also, Paras learns Spore. And if you saw the Paras episode in the anime, you'd know that Paras never loses.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 6 2008, 08:44 PM

Add Corsola. It's the randomest Pokemans.

Double grass weakness. D:

Posted by: Raijinili Nov 7 2008, 06:18 AM

Scyther's double weak to Rock, as well as a bunch of other things.

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 7 2008, 07:57 AM

But Scyther looks cool, and isn't hyped up insanely by tourneyfags. So it's all good.

Posted by: Lux Nov 7 2008, 04:33 PM

GENGAR.

Plz.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 7 2008, 04:33 PM

I hope you don't mean I'm a tourneyfag, 'cause I'm not.
I just find Scizor to be a reliable Pokemans.

And Aerodactyl, Salamence, Flygon, all have double weaknesses to ice.

On a side note, add Sableye and Spiritomb to the Asshole tier. They have no weaknesses.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 7 2008, 04:43 PM

You DON'T understand this list. Sableye belongs in the "HOLY SHIT IT ATE MY SOUL BY LOOKING AT ME" tier.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 7 2008, 04:48 PM

Oh, I get it now.

Sorry, I'm kinda sleepy. -.-

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 7 2008, 09:20 PM

Also, I wasn't calling you a tourneyfag. Unless you're some crazy person that preaches to everyone about how awesome Scizor is. But I haven't seen you do that yet, so.

Also, I guess I should give reasons for why each Pokemon is where it is. Maybe it'll give people a better idea of how these tiers work.

Paras: PARASPARASPARAS. And he makes us cry.
Wynaut: WYNAUT?
Wobbuffet: Because Wobbuffet is just that awesome.
Spoink: Because he makes us cry.
Slowbro: Great stats all around (except for speed, but Trick Room remedies this) and a really nice movepool. And a silly face.
Ludicolo: Because it's a dancing sombrero pineapple duck. And because Ludicolo team actually almost beat Slowbro team.
Starmie: Too fast to have Thunderbolt AND Ice Beam and Surf and Psychic or Recover. Total asshole. People who fight Walrus know this.
Jolteon: Crobat tactics. Be faster than everyone else, and slam them with a status effect that will most likely incapacitate them for a few turns. THUNDER WAVE.
Aerodactyl: He's Starmie-esque. His movepool isn't as good, but he's in the same max Speed group as Jolteon and Crobat, so he is an asshole.
Crobat: Same as Jolteon, but replace Thunder Wave with Hypnosis or Confuse Ray or something like that. And his face just LOOKS so mean.
Flygon: This cannot be disputed. Flygon has Levitate and learns Dig. Instant asshole.
Gengar: He has a pretty INTIMIDATING smile, but he hasn't caused enough rage to be higher than Almost Asshole.
Skarmory: Same deal as Gengar.
Salamence: I don't remember why we decided this. I blame Intimidate, speed, attack, and Dragon Dance.
Mantine: The Mantine Effect is why. No matter how much Special Defense you think 400 is, it's no match for a 4x weakness to Electricity.
Mantyke: The proof is in the picture I linked.
Scizor: WELL I JUST DON'T LIKE HIM VERY MUCH. AND MANTINE EFFECT. SCIZOR DIES.

And since Miltank doesn't exist, I won't go into detail about that.

Flygon: This cannot be disputed. Flygon has Levitate and learns Dig. Instant asshole.

For those who are unaware of this. Earthquake hits Dig'd opponents always for double damage. Levitate dodges Earthquake. Even while Dig'd.

LEVITATE WORKS UNDERGROUND.

Asshole tier.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 03:55 AM

Gengar took out a team of Slowbros. Also Skarmory totally won almost all of my matches for me.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 03:56 AM

Hey, that was due to unforeseen complications which I have already planned on fixing. So I wouldn't state your absolutes just yet.

Also your Skarmory is fail against my Slowbros.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 04:00 AM

If by "unforeseen complications" you mean "a Gengar can easily oneshot a Slowbro", then sure.

Skarmory shielded me from Ash in both tournament battles. I'd like to see your Slowbro do the same.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 04:02 AM

This is not a matter of my Slowbro eating hits, it's a matter of your Skarmory not being invincible.

Also, a Gengar cannot easily oneshot a Slowbro. It has to be specially made to do that.

Besides, Focus Sash totally fixes that, and then Trick Room makes your Gengar null and void.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 04:06 AM

You mean a Slowbro cannot easily survive a Gengar, it has to be specifically made to do that. My Gengar follows standard Gengar rules, and doesn't even have max Sp Atk. Figure that one out, Sammy.

It's a matter of which is more of a jerk. Skarmory cost Ash his win(s), Slowbro makes speed wonky for a bit then shrivels and dies.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 04:42 AM

Slowbro makes speed wonky for a bit and during that bit rapes everything presented.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 05:51 AM

Surviving physical hits is more likely to occur than surviving Gengar to mess up your pots and pans. I don't remember it raping Starmie, by the way. There was merely a freezing match that ended with both of us suffering from amnesia.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 06:03 AM

My particular Slowbro at the time didn't, but I do have a Slowbro now that CAN rape your Starmie.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 06:08 AM

That's particularly irrelevant. Skarmory is metal and can jab Slowbro in the eye with its hands. Skarmory wins the topic.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 06:09 AM

I have a Slowbro with Flamethrower. You already know the aftermath of that.

Quit thinking your Skarmory is the answer to everything.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 8 2008, 06:20 AM

Quit thinking logic works in a tiers topic.

Skarmory can fly around and look at trees. Slowbro can't do math after swimming in a river.

Posted by: Lucho Nov 8 2008, 01:39 PM

hey guys I like Scizor

Posted by: Raijinili Nov 9 2008, 02:13 AM

SLOWBRO CAN'T SWIM

Posted by: Lux Nov 15 2008, 08:44 PM

Porygon-Z.

Because Download+400 Sp. Attack is just unfair.

AND TYRANITAR BECAUSE HE'S CUUUTE

Amen.

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 17 2008, 06:40 PM

We should have a good idea of Porygon-Z's placement after this coming tournament.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 17 2008, 08:22 PM

I wish it could learn Psycho Boost.

WHICH REMINDS ME... In Gale of Darkness, you know how the move tutor could teach Sky Attack? Well, I got all exited and traded my Rayquaza to it in the hopes of having a Rayquaza with Sky Attack. IT COULD NOT LEARN IT. WHAT?! Anyways, I blew it off and taught my Mew Sky Attack instead.

Which also reminds me - Metagross can't learn Gyro Ball. WTF?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 17 2008, 11:00 PM

It would be a waste. Metagross's speed is way to high for Gyro Ball to be effective.

Posted by: Sigmund Nov 18 2008, 01:27 AM

Metagross is pretty good. I don't care for it myself , however.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 18 2008, 02:50 PM

Well, not for mine. It's excruciatingly slow.

Besides, you could give it an Iron Ball. And then teach it Trick Room.

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 18 2008, 03:48 PM

But even Steelix can't use Gyro Ball effectively unless the enemy is really fast.

Posted by: Neon_the_Chao Nov 18 2008, 03:57 PM

True.

But why oh why can Rayquaza learn Gyro Ball?

AND YET IT CAN'T LEARN SKY ATTACK :(

Posted by: Aether Dec 9 2008, 01:05 AM

This list needs more Gyrados.

Posted by: Yuka May 24 2010, 04:39 AM

You want more Gyarados? He's "If You Use These, You're Lame" Tier.

Fucking Gyarados.

Posted by: DustyHaru May 24 2010, 05:02 AM

BIDOOF?

Posted by: Rhiannon May 24 2010, 05:04 AM

PROPOSED ADDITIONS BEFORE WE GET TO WORK ON ACTUALLY ADDING MORE POKEYMANZ:

1. Dies to Wall Socket Tier: Well, things that pretend to be really badass and have like, awesome tanking abilitiesszz but then die to tiny things. Since there are a lot of Pokemon like that, they only get to be here if they don't really fit anywhere else nicely, of course. And if you don't get it this quote is a good explanation: (9:26:57 pm) <Brin{writing}> I mean, Cloyster's sp defense is a measly 199...stick one of its horns in a wall socket and you win
2. A shorter version of "THESE GUYS ARE SO AWFUL BUT YOU HAVE TO USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO COMPLETE A TEAM IDEA." Like using Abomasnow on a hailblizzard team just because it has Snow Warning.

I'm totally sure I want to include the first one. SOMEONE FIND ME ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES FOR 2.

Also, Gayrados. Not forgetting this.

Posted by: Dr Sturm May 24 2010, 07:31 PM

We need more Vaporeon in the Almost Asshole tier.

Posted by: Yuka May 24 2010, 08:18 PM

Justify it and it might get put in.

Posted by: Dr Sturm May 25 2010, 01:22 AM

Sasha knows exactly why. *shakes fist*

Posted by: P.P.A. Sep 6 2013, 02:58 PM

Weezing is great. I have messed around on Pokémon Showdown on OU a bit recently, and Weezing has been one of the most consistently useful members of my team. Its Fire Blast has roasted countless Scizors, Forretresses, and Ferrothorns before they could do any harm to the team, and its Haze has completely destroyed many Baton Passing teams which wasted precious turns boosting their stats, just to be caught unaware by this move.
It's also easy to switch in due to its considerably physical bulk, and immunity to Ground attacks and Toxic. It usually goes down to any offensive Psychic-move user, but at that point it will have jeopardised the enemy's plans already.

ADDED UMBREON TO ASSHOLE TIER BECAUSE http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ubers-55504178 http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ubers-56043156 http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ubers-56061777 IS A BIG DEAL. PPA also used it, and it was Asaph's suggestion, and it's kind of a jerk.

ALSO SUGGESTING THAT QUAGSIRE BE ADDED TO ALMOST GOD TIER AND JUMPLUFF BE ADDED TO ASSHOLE TIER (THERE'S AN ASSHOLE JUMPLUFF IN ONE OF THOSE REPLAYS THAT DOES ASSHOLE THINGS). ANY OBJECTIONS?

ALSO I THINK WEEZING WORKS FOR ALMOST ASSHOLE PRETTY EASILY
