Lacrima Castle _ Site Feedback _ Ventrillo

Posted by: Sigmund Nov 8 2008, 05:01 AM

If anyone would go to it, I'd have one set up.

I have this guy who can do it for me.

NEED FEEDBACK.

YES OR NO?

Vi sitter här i venten och spelar lite DOTA

I HEAR YOU MAN

Vi sitter här i venten och spelar lite DOTA

I FEEL YOU MAN

Vi sitter här i venten och spelar lite DOTA
å pushar på å smeker,
med motståndet vi leker

So by quoting a Basshunter song, that means what?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 8 2008, 05:48 PM

That we use Skype here.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 8 2008, 06:44 PM

Speaking of which, should we bother making a list of everyone's usernames on Skype?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 8 2008, 06:46 PM

No, that's profile information; it belongs in one's profile.

I have a vent server we can use (read, the Steam /v/ group server) if we actually need it for gaming (IE, WC3), and typically we use it when Walrus is on because his microphone is shit and hearing him blaring music is annoying.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 12 2008, 01:23 AM

Except that never happens, because you are prejudiced against me. Besides, Ventrillo is far less useful than Skype.

Posted by: Yuka Nov 12 2008, 02:45 AM

What, we totally invited you to Skype last Saturday.

When you forgot how to talk.

Posted by: Raijinili Nov 12 2008, 04:01 AM

There's only one "P" in "Ventrilo".

Posted by: Walrus Nov 12 2008, 04:52 AM

Asaph is the prejudiced one. And I came on later, after stabbing my options until they bled sound.

Skype sucks for talking while gaming.

Posted by: Walrus Nov 12 2008, 09:42 PM

It's much better for talking while gaming, because you don't need to spare an extra hand or two to hold the button to speak in Ventrillo. Unless you use your feet for talking >:(

Posted by: Yuka Nov 12 2008, 10:09 PM

Vent is fine if you're talking while playing a computer game I guess. Otherwise Skype > Vent imo

Posted by: Walrus Nov 12 2008, 10:43 PM

A computer game that doesn't mind random keypresses while you play. How often does LCN play those?

Posted by: Enzd Nov 12 2008, 10:53 PM

Isn't there a setting for hands-free voice chat in Vent? If not, that's pretty dumb.

Absoloutely any.

It's not a "random" button press, you assign a key and can press to talk. That is not hard, and lots of PC games support that fine. That is standard. What enzd said is also right, there are multiple settings, including one for hand free, and one that engages when X amount of noise enters the mic etc.

I only mentioned it because the new expansion is coming out. Everyone is telling me that i needed to be atleast lvl 55. I don't know why. I don't really play too much, but I'm going to now. 3/4 of my friends play it >______>

Posted by: Irysa Nov 13 2008, 02:58 AM

55 is the level Death Knights start at, but you need a level 70 to make one, so I dunno what he's talking about.
