By the way, when do I get Only Revolutions and YSKOV! back?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2009, 10:01 PM

Probably never? Consider it your birthday gift to me.
I'll probably never get YSKOV! back, either. My friend has it, and she's started three other books since starting it.

You're not allowed to take any more of my books.

The Fifth Elephant.

It's a textbook for people learning Japanese. Definitely not for everyone but I can say for sure it is the best book I read in 2008.

Swan Song
Black Seas of Infinity
The End

Holy crap. I've barely read anything all year.

EXTENDING A JOKE WITH AN UNFUNNY COMMENT DOESN'T MAKE IT FUNNIER.

Dune by Frank Herbert and A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin were the two major books that I really really liked that I read during last year, so.

Uh... If that was directed at me, I didn't make a joke. And the comment wasn't supposed to be funny.

I'm just not feeling very talkative.

Dreamsongs I (George R.R. Martin): There were quite a few really good stories, and I like his style.
White Fang (Jack London): I re-read this, actually. It's always nice when people write about animals without anthropomorphizing them.
You Shall Know Our Velocity! (Dave Eggers): Made me realize I love Dave Eggers.

Honorable mentions (Or, books that I wanted to list here but couldn't think of anything to say about them): God Emperor of Dune, Veronika Decides to Die, and Lord of the Flies.

I rather enjoyed Snow Falling on Cedars.

Even if this book didn't have three sex scenes in it, it'd still be awesome. The story was very good.

Can't we just say novels instead of books?

Cause like, I'm a faggot and read more VNs than actual books last year.

Posted by: Rhiannon Feb 4 2009, 05:02 PM

But if we say novels then I can't say Dreamsongs.

Posted by: Irysa Feb 4 2009, 05:13 PM

How about stories?

Well that is kinda broad.

How about a separate clause?

Posted by: Rhiannon Feb 4 2009, 05:16 PM

DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU HAVE THE POWER TO ANSWER THE AGE-OLD QUESTION OF "ARE VNS GAMES OR BOOKS?"

Posted by: Irysa Feb 4 2009, 05:29 PM

BOTH LOL

ALSO

WHY ARE YOU POSTING BUT NOT ON THE CHANNEL.

Posted by: Rhiannon Feb 4 2009, 11:31 PM

I WAS AVOIDING PEOPLE WHO WOULD INSIST ON TALKING TO ME IN OTHER CHANNELS BECAUSE I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT UNINTERESTING THINGS AT THE TIME

Posted by: H. Tsukiyono Feb 5 2009, 12:49 AM

Lolita - I think you guys know who wrote this. :/
After Dark - Haruki Murakami
The Liars' Club - Mary Karr

--wow. Didn't read much that I remembered last year.

Posted by: Wally Feb 5 2009, 04:09 AM

I think the only things I read last year were A Roadside Picnic and a few 80s Time-Life books about planes. I want to read Dune and some of the Foundation series this year.
