Lacrima Castle _ Yggdra Union _ Favourite Characters! (SPOILERS)

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 28 2006, 04:21 AM

So, it's been out for like a week or something. Who are your favourite characters in the game? I'm not going to make a poll, though, because there are just too many characters in this game for that.

I like Aegina, Emelone, Gulcasa, and Luciana.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 28 2006, 04:25 AM

Nessiah. And Nietzsche.
Elena, Zilva, and Luciana are cool too.

Posted by: Enzd Nov 28 2006, 04:41 AM

Elena. I love her :<

Posted by: Desu Nov 28 2006, 05:21 AM

Nessiah, Gulcasa.
Roswell

Posted by: Dil Nov 28 2006, 06:39 PM

Yggdra, yes.

Posted by: Rune_Ocarina Nov 28 2006, 07:01 PM

QUOTE(Dil @ Nov 28 2006, 09:39 AM) *

Yggdra, yes.

I'm not that far into the game, but I'd have to agree.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Nov 28 2006, 09:31 PM

Based on what I know, Elena gets another vote.

I would say Milanor, but Milanor's speech sucks ass in the English version.

Posted by: ChefMKT Nov 28 2006, 11:13 PM

Yggdra is so funny. xD Elena is another recent favourite of mine as well. Gulcasa, Aegina and Luciana are also awesome. Cruz WOULD be a favourite, but I hate his god damn sprite. Light yellow and blue just don't go together.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 28 2006, 11:42 PM

What are you talking about? Milanor has the funniest lines in the game.
Well, Yggdra has the best, but it's all being built off of Milanor's lines.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Nov 29 2006, 12:15 AM

Some of them don't make sense due to the conditions. Like at the end of BF4 when you burn all the fortresses, Milanor exclaims " Yes! We smashed all their fortresses!"

Objective = Burn, not Smash.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 29 2006, 12:17 AM

... That is the stupidest complaint I have ever heard, I am banning you from LCN forever.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Nov 29 2006, 12:23 AM

It can be a stupid complaint, but things like that gradually get on my nerves.

Would you have preferred it had I said that his lines don't sound like a Thief's lines?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 29 2006, 12:28 AM

They don't?
"I think I'll take this" in a random house doesn't sound like something a thief would say?

Posted by: Sauce XIV Nov 29 2006, 12:29 AM

That's one of the few exceptions I've seen so far. Then again, I'm not really all that far into the game yet, so maybe its just that I haven't gotten far enough into the storyline.

Posted by: Yukira Nov 29 2006, 04:35 AM

.....Only interested Nietzsche and Pamela...
...

He said "Burn, baby, burn!" as well.

Elena seems quite popular... No one else likes Roswell?

Posted by: Rhiannon Nov 29 2006, 06:36 AM

Eh... I bet it's because Roswell and Rosary didn't get as much development as other characters. After Chapter 2, they like, stop talking. But then again, Cruz had even less lines than they did, and that doesn't stop Chef from liking him.

Posted by: Desu Nov 29 2006, 06:41 AM

Okay...I don't mind anyway.

Posted by: Desu Nov 29 2006, 06:46 AM

Roswell and Nessiah are one of my favourites too...^^

Posted by: Dr Sturm Nov 29 2006, 06:47 AM

Roswell is very loved.
Someone already wrote a fanfic centered around him.

Posted by: Desu Nov 29 2006, 06:48 AM

I didn't know that O_O

Posted by: Ultimaninja Nov 29 2006, 12:22 PM

From as far as I've gotten
Yggdra and Neitzsche

Just don't like Milanor because he is an axe weilder...
It's not like he could help it, jus...after Fire Emblem for the gba Comparing him and hector...well...

Posted by: Desu Nov 29 2006, 01:07 PM

Just because he's an axe-wielder?

Posted by: Ultimaninja Nov 30 2006, 03:15 AM

QUOTE(Desu @ Nov 29 2006, 09:07 AM) *

He couldn't help it...
Hector was so over powered, that by the near-end game, I could have solo'd the last 5 stages with only him. The only reason I didn't, is because buying weapons and everything was annoying...

But I will give him points for being the only guy to be able to steal...

Posted by: Megafreak Dec 2 2006, 06:21 AM

I would say Nessiah, and perhaps Roswell...

Posted by: Shadow Dec 2 2006, 03:03 PM

Zilva and Pamela (so cute).

Posted by: Malice Dec 2 2006, 03:18 PM

Milanor and Roswell.

Posted by: Aekari Dec 2 2006, 08:18 PM

Gulcasa, Emilio, and Luciana. Yep.

...and Milanor's lines.

Posted by: Rzul Dec 2 2006, 09:24 PM

Nietzsche, Cruz, Roswell and Durant.

QUOTE(Megafreak @ Dec 1 2006, 10:21 PM) *

They seem really popular... I guess I'm in agreement there. But I wish I knew more about our "Ancient" friend.

Eh... is there ever a chance for you to destroy Nessiah or something? His role on the game confuses me....

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 2 2006, 11:51 PM

You should play through the game before asking questions about its plot.

Posted by: Ruby Eyes Yuan Dec 3 2006, 03:02 AM

I don't understand exactly WHY, but Nessiah just reached a whole new level of badass to me it.

It's settled. The Ancient is HIGH up there in my favorites list now... (no, not like that "Red Text High" that randomly appears on some characters. Which bothers me what they're implying...)

But I have a feeling I'm neglecting a truly deserving character...

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 3 2006, 03:06 AM

It's not random.
HIGH is a status effect.
When an enemy has HIGH, they recover all Morale at the beginning of their turn, they start in Rage.

And since you can't have more than one status effect at once, an enemy that has HIGH obviously can't be poisoned/cursed/stoned/asleep.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't litteraly a "Random" occurance. I just like using the word "random", and never realized that "High" counted as a Status effect. (Okay, now that implication is bothering me even more...)

But yes. I'm close to finishing the game now, but I know I'll have to replay it immediatley. There was one particular character that I MUST recruit that I didn't the first time. And, well, I'm gratefully for now knowing that this character CAN be recruitable... (although it makes me wish I kept an early save. Oh, well! I get to here a bunch of Milianor's lines all over again! Yay?)

P.S. I must've not been paying attention, because I never once read "Emperor of Clownage".

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 3 2006, 03:40 AM

What implications?
Just because you associate being high with being on drugs doesn't mean that was the designer's intentions.

Posted by: chrishawke Dec 3 2006, 05:30 AM

Russell and Elena.

Yeah, I know that. It's just... a really odd set of coincidences that disturb me. I appoligize for sounding stupid right now...

But seriously, I should probably finish my game now. I'm on BF 46 right now, and all of the drama's got me psyched for the Climax of this plot.

And I'm REALLY looking forward to the last Battlefiled! Unfortunatley, only my Main Players (Yggdra and Milianor) are in decent shape thus far to tackle it, but here's hoping I'll find High-Morale Inducing items!

Posted by: march123585 Dec 4 2006, 01:30 AM

yggdra and Milanor is my favourite characters!!

Posted by: Seve Dec 4 2006, 02:10 AM

My favorites are Milanor and Elena so far, and Roswell, Yggdra, and Kylier are pretty awesome too imo

Posted by: Someone Dec 7 2006, 06:13 AM

Roswell is my top favorite.

I like Elena,Pamela,and Nessiah also.

Posted by: Ruby Eyes Yuan Dec 8 2006, 08:16 PM

Roswell is now officially on top of the list. (6 Big Stars in ATK, MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!)

Then, I like Nessiah, Russel, and Pamela.

Posted by: Ryu2 Dec 17 2006, 08:49 PM

Kylier and Milanor are my faves.

Posted by: DragonKnight Jason Dec 17 2006, 09:05 PM

Favorite Females: Kylier and Aegina (hawt)
Favorite Males: Cruz (even though never use :P), and Durant

Posted by: Kai Zergas Dec 19 2006, 01:08 AM

Favorite Male characters: Durant (less for personality and more for the fact that Knights rock), Milanor (I must make one of those scythe/axes of his, even if I'd never be able to lift it ^_^ )

Favorite Female characters: Yggdra (she reminds me too much of Saber from Fate/Stay Night), Elena (once again, less for personality and more for the fact that Assassins rock almost as much as Knights)

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 22 2006, 12:59 AM

I'll have to agree, Elena and Sir Shanks-Himself are pretty popular.(if you don't get the whole "Sir Shanks-Himself" thing, you need to play the game againXD) anyway, my favs. are Milanor and Russell, and my fav. female is Elena. and to make one thing clear....... MILANOR OWNES EVERYONES FACE XD Im' only on BF 37, and he has every stats Maxed out.....OwnedXD

I'm done.........O.o

Posted by: Sauce XIV Dec 22 2006, 01:11 AM

That's because Milanor is seriously overpowered. Even in BF1, compared to Yggdra in BF2 and just about every character in the game, he's overpowered.

Posted by: Desu Dec 22 2006, 01:19 AM

My milanor has max stats at Lv.15/14 or something...

And I decided my top favourite is Nessiah now...

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 22 2006, 02:08 AM

He has every stat maxed out because you use him too much.
And shank is probably the vaguest term you could use.

And Sauce, that's the dumbest comparison you could use; Milanor starts at level three, Yggdra joins at level one.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Dec 22 2006, 03:04 AM

And if you leave Milanor at level 3 and get Yggdra to level 3, Milanor is still more powerful. By a landslide.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 22 2006, 03:20 AM

Not really.
Stray Thief Level 20 stats: 36, 42, 40, 40.
La Pucelle Level 20 stats: 42, 40, 42, 30.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Dec 22 2006, 03:40 AM

So wait, you're telling me that each character has a set growth rate?

Like for level six, they gain One ATK point and one GEN Point, and at level seven they gain say One ATK and one LUK point. Are those set in stone events, or are they randomly generated?

Posted by: Rhiannon Dec 22 2006, 03:42 AM

They're set in stone.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Dec 22 2006, 03:50 AM

Oh, okay.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 22 2006, 02:32 PM

I didn't realize that their stats were pre-rendered from the startO.o thats kinda gay, because if you train a person harder then everyone else, shouldn't they be better? thats my opinon anyway......

And one other thing:Why does everyone think that Cruz sucks? just wondering......

I'm done now........O.o

Posted by: Desu Dec 22 2006, 11:56 PM

MVP can make the difference...

I don't think that Cruz sucks. I just don't use him.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 22 2006, 11:58 PM

People think Cruz sucks because, when you get him, he's equipped with an AWFUL item.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 23 2006, 12:35 AM

while i dont remember what the item was, i still think he is pretty good, not better then the assassin mind youXD
i just meant that he kinda goes unoticed is allXD

Im dome.........O.o

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 12:51 AM

But quite a few people draw him in a YU BBS...so he's not totally ignored.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 23 2006, 12:59 AM

point very well taken^-^ i just think he isnt as popular, like say.......roswell or gulcasaXD

(i finally got an iconXD 3 cheers for me^.^)

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:00 AM

Roswell's really popular... I know... there is quite a number of Roswell fanart out there.
He's one of my favourites too(and so is Gulcasa) :x
But my absolute favourite is Nessiah

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:06 AM

Haha...wait until you reach the later parts of the game...you'll get to know Nessiah more^^

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:10 AM

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 23 2006, 01:32 AM

Nessiah is the most important character in the game, but you likely won't recognize this immediately. Hell, I keep finding more ways in which he ties into the story...

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:33 AM

Yeah, I didn't know it at first...
Nessiah <3

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 23 2006, 01:44 AM

is he really that involed in the story line? i hadn't really noticed, i tend to zone out while playing, and don't really notice himXD but if Strum says he is, then i obeyXD

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:45 AM

Yes, obey Sturm.
It is true. I agree with Sturm.

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:54 AM

Huh? Who's kidding?

Well, Rosary's boring to me. Maybe it's because I'm a female as well. But even the guys like Roswell.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 23 2006, 01:57 AM

she is kinda boring, but ur are wrong about one thing: not all guys like roswell.........the stupid ones anywayXD he is the better of the two^-^

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 01:58 AM

I said even the guys, not ALL.
And yes, he is the better of the two, for me

Posted by: Lord Rasler Dec 23 2006, 02:04 AM

Ok, new subject: who do you prefer: Russell or Durant?

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 02:06 AM

Durant

QUOTE(Desu @ Dec 23 2006, 02:06 AM) *

Durant

Finally, someone agrees with me! Durant owns FACE!XD also, he can turn into a dragoon knightXD

Posted by: Desu Dec 23 2006, 02:10 AM

Haha... I always forget to look for the class-changing item.
But although I prefer Durant over Russell, I still don't really like him.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Dec 23 2006, 03:55 AM

Russell over Durent for me. Gooo Astral Fencer! :D

Posted by: Ta-kun Dec 23 2006, 05:22 AM

I <3 Kylier, but she annoys me with all her (Dunno if this is spoilers, but I'll be safe)

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I totally prefer Russell. He's awesome.

Posted by: level Dec 24 2006, 04:26 PM

i like durant in dragon knight unlike the normal one =D

Posted by: Fujibayashi Suzu Dec 26 2006, 06:38 AM

Yggdra >_>
I'd use it as my display name but. Someone has it. So meh.
But yeah, Yggdra, Rosary, Nietzsche... and I guess Luciana and Aegina as well. Oh and Elena! So, basically just about every girl minus a few...

Posted by: Raijinili Dec 26 2006, 06:43 AM

This board wants to encourage some originality with names.

Posted by: Pureauthor Dec 26 2006, 05:52 PM

I like Elena a lot.

Milanor is pretty cool too.

Posted by: Hrover Dec 27 2006, 02:45 PM

Am I alone in my complete adoration of Rosary? Maybe I'm a bad player, but Gulcasa would've been dancing on my grave without her fire resistance to even the score.

Posted by: Fujibayashi Suzu Dec 27 2006, 04:56 PM

I like Rosary =p
But yeah, her Fire immune is very nice to have... At least as long as Gulcasa is in Rage and you don't Aggresive either...

Posted by: Malice Dec 28 2006, 02:57 PM

new characters.. <3

Milanor, and Roswell. Also that hunter kid, but I forgot his ame. Cruz or something >_>

Posted by: sarcasteak Dec 29 2006, 12:46 AM

Overall favorite character: Nietzsche. She's just so darn cute in every single aspect. I enjoy all of her cutesy battle lines (especially the victory ones), and I love how innocently and sweetly she reacts to enemy bosses.

My favorite "comic relief" enemy has to be Inzaghi aka "worst mercenary ever"!! This guy is just so amusing in a pathetic way, and many of his retorts to the main characters' taunts are so weak. Heh, no one in the game respects him ...not even Nietzsche! xP

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I'm also rather fond of Russell, Roswell, and Elena.

Posted by: Jan Akiyama Jan 4 2007, 11:25 AM

Durant Ain't all that bad...

But still, Milanor for pure pwnage at the design level. His weapon is probably the most original of the bunch. Seconded only by Gulcusa because of his class, Dragoon.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 4 2007, 12:15 PM

i know, his is pretty cool, its like a axe/sythe thingy, anyway it onws

Posted by: Rune_Ocarina Jan 5 2007, 09:34 AM

Durant for me...but that's because I wasn't able to get any of the other characters besides the ones you HAVE to get to proceed in the game. I just killed killed killed and Durant was the one killing all the special characters I could've saved... >.<

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 5 2007, 12:59 PM

There's only one.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 5 2007, 03:39 PM

I'm adding Inzaghi to my list, as he's one of the greatest comic relief sources in the game. While yes, I realize its supposed to be a serious game, he's just funny.

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 6 2007, 03:40 AM

that guy got me mad after a whileXD

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 14 2007, 11:18 AM

For me, I would have to say my favorites are Marietta, Ishiene, and Nessiah; they're cool! ^^

Posted by: Paroro Jan 15 2007, 09:28 PM

Nietzsche all the way o wo;

or, Pamela if she would have had a bigger role in the game..

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 18 2007, 01:41 AM

i recently am adding Cruz to my favorite list.........no hating him please, its not his fault he is sub-par compared to ElenaXD

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 18 2007, 01:54 AM

But Elena's a GIRL. Most people here prefer girl bowusers over guy bowusers! I mean, seriously. Just look at Lina! Not only is she a better bowman by default, but even if she wasn't people would still use her!

Besides, Elena could so kick Cruz's ass in battle anyways. Bloody Claw for the win! And if you can't use that, then find some other card. >_>

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 18 2007, 01:57 AM

yeah, yeah, yeah, your right........i only like Cruz BECAUSE he's the only male bowsmen in either games....so that was my main reason. it seem that women make better archers.........

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 18 2007, 02:05 AM

I doubt Elena would be on the winning side more often than Cruz.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 18 2007, 02:06 AM

Why's that Sturm? Proof please?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 18 2007, 02:36 AM

Hunters have a Lv20 GEN of 4, Assassins 2.
Hunters have a Lv20 ATK of 3, Assassins 3.
Hunters have a Lv20 TEC of 5, Assassins 5.
Hunters have a Lv20 LUK of 3, Assassins 5.

Hunters have Good on Forests and Good at Noontime effects (as well as the situation-negligible Good against Griffon Riders).
Assassins have the Good at Nighttime effect (as well as the situation-negligible Void Dark).
Neither can counter.

Noontime comes just as often as nighttime, except in perpetual <time> battlefields. Bloody Claw can be used only once.
It comes down to stats, and random, of course. If terrain comes in, Cruz'd take less Morale damage, but we'll leave terrain out. Although, it does let him void Ivy Whip, if that were ever to be optioned.
Now, on stats, Hunters have greater GEN than Assassins' ATK, so they'd take less Morale damage in the case of a loss, but Assassins have lower GEN than Hunters' ATK, so it hurts when an Assassin loses. They both have high TEC for the opening and counter, but Hunters have better GEN with which to guard against it. (As well as against skills, but we're counting both Lv20, no modifications to stats.) Assassin's have better LUK, leading to (potentially) more criticals. Since they have equal ATK, they'll be killing members at the same rate, so for clashes it comes down to the opening hit.
In a perfect world, Hunters will win every evening clash they start, and with Assassins starting evening battles it will be up in the air. Assassins will win all night battles they start, but still potentially lose every they don't. Hunters will win every noon battle.
So, lets split the two uncertainties and say Assassins always win at night, leaving Hunters to always win at Evening. That leaves four clashes for Cruz to win, and two for Elena. Factoring Morale damage, Crus will do more Morale damage than Elena in all circumstances, and, with the greater amount of clashes won, will also do more per cycle and thus will defeat the Assassin quickly.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 18 2007, 02:51 AM

Nice paragraph, Sturm. And that's all hypothetical because of the uncertainties. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of either winning in Evening.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 18 2007, 03:06 AM

I said opening.
When the Cruz gets it, Elena's low GEN and their near equal TEC gives him the win. When Elena has the opening, it could be either, I discussed this, and how I handled it in my example, and I also pointed out that it was hypothetical.

Posted by: Paroro Jan 18 2007, 06:52 AM

*butts in*

: D I liked Elena more, why, cause I'm so super superficial and thought an assasin girl would be cooler than a hunter guy.

And bloody claw, oh yeah.

Anyway, through MVP bonuses (and the forbidden fruit hehe) my Elena had like 5, 6, 6, 6 in her stats.. hehe.

So, in the end .. Ness-chan got his ass kicked by a girl : (

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 19 2007, 05:59 PM

i had the same stats for my elena as you did, but my cruz had 6 of every thingXD i used him as often as milanor.

Posted by: Sotel Kiseki Jan 20 2007, 05:53 PM

Elena is my girl all the way.
I just wished that they animated more usage of the claws but I can't complain. T_T

Using both bow-people = sniping everybodies eyeballs.(I seriously love that moment)

Either way I use Elena ever sence. She ranks higher in coolness.IMO

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 20 2007, 07:46 PM

i think its safe to say, i hope, that milanor is the strongest in most places. he gets maxed out at like level 13 or so.

Posted by: Rhiannon Jan 20 2007, 08:50 PM

Added a spoiler warning to the topic title since so many people are forgetting that Elena joining you is a spoiler. I MEAN, EVEN STURM FORGOT.

And I suppose I'll post more detailed reasons as to why I like who I like.

I like Luciana's personality, and how she seems to hold a huge grudge against Yggdra. She has a really interesting story, and I like to think about what could have happened to her in the past. :(

Emelone is like, a really cool queen. She decides things based on what her people want, not what she wants. I think that's cool. She's also very beautiful, and her story is really sad. Well, mostly just because the Undine story is sad, but yeah.

Gulcasa... I dunno. He looks pretty cool, has some pretty cool lines, a pretty cool name, a pretty cool personality, and I guess he's just "pretty cool" in every aspect. I think I've said "cool" too much in this post.

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 22 2007, 05:42 AM

After playing one more playthrough, I think I wan't to alter my favorite list just a little.

First off Rosary is my favorite character, she totally rocks! I will only play as Roswell to complete the item list. Not that there's anything wrong with Roswell, I just purfer Rosary over him.

And then Queen Emelone as second, too bad she had to die, and to top it all off, it had to be so early in the game. I so would have rather had Emelone or Ishiene as the Undine you control over Nietzsche. I mean, they wearn't bad, they were fighting for a good cause. All of the fighting could have been stopped if Yggdra agreed help find that gem, which she does at the end of the game. All that fighting...for nothing...

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 22 2007, 01:13 PM

No, the fighting couldn't have stopped as Emelone said.
And Yggdra did agree to help find the Transmigragem; why do you think Nietzsche joined?

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 22 2007, 02:37 PM

i'm a little curious: is that the way Undines were belived to live from generation to generation? by using that thingy?

Posted by: Sotel Kiseki Jan 22 2007, 08:16 PM

well i can't find any other way.
no males of thier species so can't breed.(dun try to pic it neither)

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 25 2007, 03:59 AM

Okay...let me put this a little differently. Queen Emelone orders the undines to stop attacking the towns and helps Yggdra find the gem herself, or sends that super hottie Ishiene to help, Nietzsche can still tag along if she feels the need to. That way the humans are safe as well as the undines, and they worked together as a team; it would have made things much better.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 04:07 AM

So?
What is and what can be is rarely what ought to be.

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 25 2007, 04:24 AM

I was only stating my opinion. Because Emelone is one of my favorite characters I came up with a solution that would have made the game better for me.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 04:33 AM

She would have still remained your favourite character if her resolve as a leader faltered so quickly?

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 25 2007, 04:55 AM

Yes. Whether Emelone was an important character or not she still would remain among my top favorites. But I do think she is a very cool character design and personality, it's a shame that she didn't have a bigger part and remained an un-emportant character in the beginning of the game. I know what that's like all too well...

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 04:59 AM

No, I was asking if you would truly still like her as much if she, you know, flopped.
Not that you can answer that question without bias, but, whatever.
And if you think she's an unimportant character, you weren't paying a lot of attention.

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 25 2007, 05:26 AM

You're right, maybe my opinion is a little bias, so I won't bother answering that. But she died in the first BF she's featured in, un-like evey other character who constantly "Pulled Back" from battle. Her influence never stretched beyond BF 7. Doesn't all just seem like a waste?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 01:20 PM

Her influence does stretch beyond BF7.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 25 2007, 09:33 PM

Hence the reason Nietzsche goes with you to find the Transmigragem.

I do believe that if you had Nietzsche attack Emelone, Emelone does tell Nietzsche to go find the Transmigragem and something along the lines of "The fate of the Undines is in your hands". Sure, Nietzsche also had personal reasons for tagging along to find the Transmigragem (So she wouldn't be considered an Undine outcast because of what her sister did), but so she could also practically save the Undines.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but because Nietzsche fights alongside Yggdra as part of the Royal Liberation Army to find the Transmigragem, it is proof that Emelone's influence stretches far beyond BF7, except that we don't immediately see it as Emelone's influence, but rather Nietzsche's resolve.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 09:49 PM

Nietzsche is not the only influence Emelone had.

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 25 2007, 09:51 PM

Its the only one I've found so far.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 25 2007, 10:15 PM

Yggdra's future pursuits as a ruler, her discontentment with the continuing war and realization of opposing goods were all rooted in the events in Embellia.

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 26 2007, 05:13 AM

I suppose you're right. But sence the games not really about that so it doesn't really matter, it seems like a waste to me.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 26 2007, 01:28 PM

The game is not about the continued war and Yggdra's rise to leadership of the world?

Posted by: Lord Rasler Jan 26 2007, 08:11 PM

i second Sturm, isn't that the whole plot of the game?

Posted by: Sauce XIV Jan 26 2007, 09:25 PM

Thirded. The whole "Take down Gulcasa after reclaiming Paltina" was just a stepping stone in the bigger scheme of things

Posted by: Ruby Eyes Yuan Jan 27 2007, 08:45 PM

I really like using Russel as a unit. I usually end up using Roswell in place of who Durant would normally face (especially since he owns the Weapons Triangle). Russel's attack rating seems to skyrocket. Unfortunately, his GEN leaves much to be desired. I still get a lot of use out of him...

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 29 2007, 03:10 AM

Okay, what I'm trying to say is that; after BF 7 you never see or hear of, nor is there even a reference to what Emelone said or did. She had a part of what was going on in the story, but it all ended at BF 7.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 29 2007, 03:12 AM

You read nothing posted in this thread.

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 29 2007, 03:28 AM

Or is it you that have not been listening to what I said... Ask yourself.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 29 2007, 03:32 AM

More baiting. We explained the Emelone's influence is visible far beyond BF7, and you responded with the equivalent of "noo she dies she cant do stuf lol"

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 29 2007, 03:43 AM

Baiting - To place a lure, or to trap; to entice, especially by trickery or strategy; to attack or torment, especially with persistent insults, criticism, or ridicule; to tease.

Now is everything I say an act of baiting, or are you just easy...bait.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 29 2007, 04:06 AM

No, everything you say is not baiting, which is why I haven't quoted more posts of yours saying "QUIT BAITING."

Posted by: Lord Ryo Jan 29 2007, 04:19 AM

You've quoted enough of my posts I'm staring to get sick of re-reading our ridiculous arguments. The more I do the less I think of you.

Posted by: Feral Phoenix Feb 2 2007, 04:00 PM

*sigh* You two are at it AGAIN?

GAAAAH.

Anyway...

I love all the party members, but some more than others. Yggdra is just too cute to not squee over, and the rest of the cast all has their amusing moments--for some examples, there's the conversation between Cruz and Emilia if you move him next to her in the Lombardia BF, and between Nietzsche, Aegina, and Flone

in The Tower. That just plain made me lawl.

I love Nessiah and Gulcasa too... there was a time I tried disliking Ness because he was getting on my nerves, but I failed. Because he's too cute to hate. *sigh*

Oh, and Sturm...

I didn't do it to him because Rhea added "(SPOILERS)" to the topic title before he posted.

Posted by: Feral Phoenix Feb 5 2007, 06:13 PM

Sturm, you are evil. *kick*

Posted by: Dr Sturm Feb 5 2007, 06:17 PM

It has nothing to do with being evil.
It has to do with you breaking the rules in this thread, then Rhea making it so that that rule is not so easily broken here.

Rosary's cute....

Posted by: Raijinili Feb 19 2007, 08:08 AM

Why is Setsuna wearing those arm things and nothing on her upper arms?

Posted by: Lord Rasler Feb 24 2007, 01:22 AM

sorry for the randomness......but my favorite is Mizer

Posted by: Miki Trie' Oct 25 2009, 01:51 AM

Moi;
everyone, can't choose. Changes every time. But here's what I think now;

Yggdra, Nessiah, Neitzsche, Roswell, Gulcasa, 367(Don't ask.), Kylier, and Russle.

Russle's line are funny. (Not dailouge, stuff when you move a certain unit in front of another.)
Like in Lombard(ia);
Mardym: Curse ye devilish one, fear ye not the wrath of God?
Russle: Hey! I'm no angel, but I'm far from being devilish!

And, yeah, I dig Milanors lines too.

Heh heh. Just a rant from her suitor. LOL!

After reading a couple of topics, I realized I don't like Kyrie as much as a lot of you guys.

I liked Mistel and Cruz, but I just completely stopped using them shortly after getting them. Milanor and Yggdra are awesome in my opinion. I honestly liked just about every villain other than Leon.

MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IS VAHN.

Favourite characters? Well let's see...

Playable: Milanor, Durant, Mistel [PSP Only.], Rosary, and I think Elena. The rest are mediocre.
Villians: Gulcasa. Too bro-ly. And also Aegina & Luciana are cool ladies. Hell, Baldus is a bro.
