Recently announced is that a somewhat controversial murder trial of a young child ended in an acquittal for Casey Anthony, who was charged for "murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter." She was, however, called guilty on four accounts of lying to investigators.

Pretty interesting stuff, if you can get into it. Though, I watched the movie first then read about the case.
Ridiculous. She was either guilty or covering for whomever was – in which case she was accessory. I can't believe the flagrant forensic evidence they had failed to cause a conviction.
The verdict is pretty terrible. The jury obviously had a debilitating case of CSI syndrome.
