So I'm up to like. Scene 6 or something and looking through my items when... I note... It seems a lot said 'on scene 2' and stuff.
Did I already miss a ton of Knights? >.>
All I keep getting at the end of maps are 'NoName' units that I can't even select or anything. That normal for this part of the game?
tl;dr
I R CONFUSED PLZHELP.
NoName units are just generic ones placed into your party when you don't have a unit of that class (but have controlled or owned one in the past). As for missing Knights, yes, you did.
Generic units AKA "Feed me to units that don't suck"?
So have I been getting a bunch of NoNames and not having my "Knights Owned" (or whatever that 'stat' is) go up because I haven't been getting the items from the Scenes?
I assume I missed them because I'm too focused on killing stuff instead of breaking objects. Not that I've figured out how you can break some of them since I can't figure out how/if you can move...
Yup. Every named knight can be recruited on the scene you find them in (unless you don't have their item, of course), and if you miss that chance you miss that particular knight until your next playthrough. Key items are like, always found in objects.
And only Maeria, Lance Knights, and Duelists can move. Their Chaos attack moves them, and it moves the entire "spawn point," so if those particular units won't be able to hit an object, you can still still move them to a place where a different knight will be able to hit whatever you're trying to hit.
Ah dammit. Restart time.
Hmmm yeah I remember Duelists... I had one in a map and she moved herself near some NPC... AND COULDN'T HIT ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. Blargh.
Yeah, that's why I hate Duelists. :( If something can move it should be able to turn in all four directions.
Yeah seems they can only move in like. 2. Or something. And if you do it wrong they end up facing in a way that makes them USELESS. D:
EDIT:
I'll be past it by the time this is answered but.
CAN YOU HIT THAT ROCK IN SCENE 4!? It's driving me crazy. I bet the item to recruit the Hermit in this level is in that rock or... From an earlier scene perhaps. But no matter how I look at it, you can't hit that rock.
EDIT2:
Up to Scene like... 6 and I get the feeling I'm just missing a lot of people. Was doin' good up to like. Scene 3 or 4. Then I couldn't start figuring out how to hit certain objects... x.x
There aren't any objects you can't hit.
Use the wiki if you're having problems.
That wiki is all in japanese right? I suppose with enough trial and error of finding the right page... Then reading Babelfish translations...
Something has been bothering me, does anything change if you finish the game in normal, easy or hard?
Like does it affect the storY?
The only thing that affects the story is the hidden scene, as far as I know. Rhia and I went through Normal and got two different endings, but she went to it and I didn't.
Up to Scene 9 and thus far haven't missed any Knights (probably some NPC items though) and just wondering here.
Are any of the classes gender exclusive? Just a random thought since I have two female Knights now and I think in Leveling I saw a male Duelist.
And another question that I'll spoil to be safe.
Suzu:
Hmmm must've been a very manly looking Duelist then.
That or Leveling mode just says "Eeeh... We'll just use random art woot!". Or I'm insane.
Probably a combination of 1 and 3.
Hmmm...
That's Capehorn.
Are you sure all Archers are male? I have this Archer that looks very girly.
Yes, just like Michelle or whoever(Warrior from early in the game) looks feminine.
He looked more soul-dead, not feminine.
And I think his name was just Micheal.
He wasn't healing any mics, there were actual sh consonants in his name.
"Reviving" so to not make a new thread but...
Scene 13. The uhm... 'object' in front of the Duelist that looks kinda like grass but no bush.
How the HELL do you open those? I hit it once with a lv4 warrior with a weak axe on a low charge and it still instantly jumped to FRAGILE and I got nothing. Does nothing come out of them on Easy or should I just normal attack the things like 80+ times?
If you're talking about the stuff that looks like roots/vines in the ground, they're for Dryads. They like to warp around the field for no reason, and they'll change to whatever element the root things are. Trees.
Oh. They don't drop items?
I've been re-doing the level like a billion times because I can't find a way to not Fragile them >_>
No. I meant to include that in the post, but I've been asleep since yesterday...
Sleeping much?
But now I'm mad at myself. I could've finished that scene days ago instead of agonizing over getting them to drop items.
I noticed as I played even though I'm (pretty) sure I've broken every object I run into NPCs sometimes that I don't have items for. Is it because it's on Easy or am I just missing items without realizing it?
Damnit, that was supposed to say "awake," not "asleep." Anyway, you might be missing items from the object respawns. I don't know how many turns it takes for them to do so, but you get 26 turns for every scene anyway, so you can spend as much time waiting for them as you want.
Ah right I forgot items respawn... Seems I've only missed NPC items so I'm not too worried.
Unless some Knight items don't show up until they respawn... v.v
Some of them don't, but it's difficult to tell unless you're keeping track of which items you've gotten and who they're for. I don't know if you know what "key item" looks like in Katakana, but objects containing them will give a green banner that has those characters, after a comma I believe. I don't think there's a notification of respawn key items, but this way you don't have to break/open everything you find just to see if it has one.
I find the easiest way is to just look at it and if there's a silhouette of a character in the upper left corner it's for a Knight. NPCs only get a silhouette of their art but not of their sprite.
I know, I meant using the wiki to find out which items are in the scene, and whether or not those characters are Knights or NPCs. They don't always have exact details of the items on the page.
Where's that wiki at again?
I probably won't be able to read it but I supposed at least knowing what items are in a scene can help me figure out what I need to be getting.
I figured you'd have found it after my reply to your topic at GFAQs, but a semi-understandable translated version is HERE. Otherwise just try knights.heriet.info
Oh so that was you who posted over there... >.>
Thanks.
