Just like on LCN v1, I'm here to help and just like Dr Frasier Crane, I'm listening; or baking cookies :-)

Posted by: Kohaku Dec 25 2005, 12:49 AM

I'd like to achieve an S-rank on Aghart. How would I go about doing this?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 25 2005, 01:30 AM

S-Ranking Aghart is fairly easy.
Bring the Diviners, the fire orb, and a potion. You'll only use the potion once though.
Basically, use the fire orb, then keep attacking with Diviners. The fire orb's protection should run out about the time the Aghart uses his Max. Use a potion, then the fire orb again, and continue with the diviners until he's at ~1000 HP, then use Ledah's LVL3EXL. You can (and probably should) use Double Slash a few times to make it quicker.

Posted by: Kohaku Dec 25 2005, 01:40 AM

I usually end with Lost Seraph, but only get an A =/

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 25 2005, 01:45 AM

Are you doing all of the above?
Including the Fire Orb and Double Slash?

Posted by: Kohaku Dec 25 2005, 01:46 AM

Yep. I think the thing that gets me in the end though is when some attacks of mine miss.

Posted by: regruBgniK Dec 25 2005, 01:47 AM

You should be able to Double Slash every turn with Ein. :x

~regruBgniK

Posted by: Raijinili Dec 25 2005, 07:17 AM

You shouldn't use Fire with Lorelei.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 25 2005, 07:20 AM

Obviously.

Posted by: Kohaku Dec 25 2005, 08:28 PM

I really hate it when attacks miss (especially Ledah's), I can now safely say that's what's causing me grief in getting S rank.

Posted by: return_of_saturn Dec 26 2005, 01:26 AM

Hi, I am in Chapter 2. I just got blown away by the black dragon guy in the Sentry Tower Area, but I didnt quest in the area with the bones. now when I go back, I have to fight 3 skeletons. Icant seem to beat them. I have all the abilities i am able to get mastered. can you help?

Posted by: Malice Dec 26 2005, 01:45 AM

use Fia.

Posted by: Swiyth Dec 26 2005, 09:05 AM

so sorry, dude. but if you've already got all the skills you can get and you still can't beat the three skeletons, you s***

^^

yeah, and use Fia. she has good skills.

Posted by: Oyasumi Dec 27 2005, 06:48 AM

i always avoid those skelaton unless u wanna S rank them for 5x silver rapier -.-

Posted by: blues 3 Dec 27 2005, 10:36 AM

I'm going to start my 2nd playthrough soon...after I finish the first..(I just beat malice, in the crystal place) Any tips?

Posted by: return_of_saturn Dec 27 2005, 04:48 PM

i managed to get past them with Linas Arrow Rain, Coral Staff healing and the Einher Jar. Thanks for the help. By the way, do you think I should train Serene?

Posted by: regruBgniK Dec 27 2005, 07:05 PM

Try to S-Rank all the bosses, they give nice one use weapons. ^.^ And try to get a different girl, getting the same one wouldn't be as fun, nya!

Oooh! Don't forget to pick different choices, I mean, taking the same route through the game wouldn't be much fun, now would it?

~regruBgniK

Posted by: blues 3 Dec 27 2005, 10:19 PM

I trained EVERYONE (1st play through). I only S ranked Death, he was TO easy. But Fia is the most logical girl...and I like that. ;_;

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 27 2005, 10:24 PM

I don't see how someone can't S-Rank Archangel.
Iria's Bow pretty much guarantees an S-Rank.

Posted by: blues 3 Dec 27 2005, 10:26 PM

I completely neglected her overskill that ONE fight.....then I hit myself.

Posted by: Guest Dec 29 2005, 01:45 AM

Bit of a stupid question, but does anyone know if it's possible to S-rank Ledah with the Fanelia on my first turn? =<_<=

Posted by: regruBgniK Dec 29 2005, 01:52 AM

Nope. I don't think so, since Fanelia is just a normal attack. But I've never tried....so I don't know for sure.

Sowwy.

~regruBgniK

Posted by: Guest Dec 29 2005, 02:00 AM

Nope, it's not. Guess I'll have to resort to my Blue Stingers and Silver Moons and stuff like the everyone else...

Posted by: blues 3 Dec 29 2005, 07:54 AM

I didn't think guests could post...

Posted by: Dr Sturm Dec 29 2005, 07:56 AM

Only in the help forums.

Posted by: regruBgniK Dec 30 2005, 12:52 AM

That's very nice, Mr. Sturm. ^.^

~regruBgniK

Posted by: MoloMowChow Jan 4 2006, 02:32 AM

only use the Fanelia for the last boss!!!

You take out 2/3 of his hp...if you use it for anything else, you might have a harder time later.

But other then that, OWNING Ledah in only 1 turn is quite fun actually...take that!

Posted by: Swiyth Jan 4 2006, 10:01 AM

heh. so is using it on Malice. but that would take the fun out of fighting Grim Angels, wouldn't it?

i always thought it would be more fun to just slowly hack away at them ._.

Posted by: blues 3 Jan 4 2006, 12:06 PM

You gotta use the weapon sometime.

yeah...the last battle...

Posted by: regruBgniK Jan 6 2006, 12:29 AM

I didn't use it... or Loginus either.... too easy!

~regruBgniK

Posted by: Yourself Jan 6 2006, 02:56 AM

Eh, more of a challenge if you don't use it.

You can maybe use Fanelia on Hades though. That might work.

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 6 2006, 03:36 AM

You can't use the Fanelia on Hades.
Unless my memory is crap and you actually get the Fanelia for the fight with him. WHICH YOU DON'T.

Posted by: Yourself Jan 6 2006, 05:46 AM

Eh, my memory is crap, not yours. I looked and it doesn't help.

Posted by: Swifty-chan Jan 6 2006, 12:41 PM

What do players get when they S-ranked Hades? And will players be able to get it during 2nd gameplay?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 6 2006, 04:30 PM

I don't believe you get anything special for S-Ranking, but for beating him, you get an item that lets you get a powerful weapon early on. Can't remember which one though...

Posted by: Raijinili Jan 6 2006, 05:45 PM

It doesn't LET you get anything.

S-Ranking Hades is for the High Score only.

Beating him gets you Divine Scripture, which you can't even use. You have to start a new game and go to Elendia's Crystal Caverns to pick it up, and all it tells you is how to get the Fanelia, which you would have already known about had you read a walkthrough.

Posted by: regruBgniK Jan 6 2006, 11:39 PM

I love your WSC Avi!!!!!

Posted by: Oyasumi Jan 8 2006, 02:40 AM

hhmm... is it possible to get all the 4 orbs on chapter 2?

yeah, i know you get fire orb on chapter 1, and whatever orb you get from those 3 coffins, but is it possible to get all of them?

i manage to get holy orb on chapter 2 >.<

Posted by: blues 3 Jan 8 2006, 08:43 AM

Can someone tell me how to unlock the music section and voice (if it exists), please?

Posted by: Philosopher Jan 8 2006, 09:16 AM

Alright now, I've found about five references to this question, all saying how it's been asked a thousand times, but despite checking all the FAQs and posts I could find, I can't for the life of me find anywhere it's been answered...so I'll ask it again :P

How do I get moldy/burnt bread/meat?

Posted by: regruBgniK Jan 8 2006, 02:59 PM

The coffins don't contain orbs, they have.... *thinks* The Flamberge... Lighting Bow, and Holy Rapier I think.... Something along those lines.

To get the voices, you need to collect the three mushrooms from Ch 3, (if you have the mushroom book, it won't work) and give them to Claude back Elendia! =D

I think you get the Music Sheet from the bottle in Tetyth. (or however ya spell it)

You can get "wet" things by falling in water! Like at one of the first screens in Tetyth, or In Ch 2.

Moldy things ya can get from the evil spores in the Cemetery near the end.

>.< Can't remember burnt though.... ugh. *useless*

Ok thank you, backwards BurgerKing.

Posted by: Raijinili Jan 9 2006, 12:12 AM

Burnt is Moldy + Cierra's OD.

Posted by: Min Jan 18 2006, 02:25 AM

I heard that you could get the Valdese Scripture from a shelf in Tethys or whatever it's called, if that helps any. I think it's for the high score. ^.^;;

Posted by: Just a guest Jan 20 2006, 04:30 PM

I'm trying to complete the Item Manual. Two of the items I'm missing are the 2nd bat and the 4th crossbow/bowgun. Where can I get these?

Posted by: Raijinili Jan 20 2006, 10:36 PM

Bat Jr.:
After chapter 2, go to the Magic Circle in Elendia. It won't be there unless you left the room first.

Tri-Shot:
A/B award for Diana's Vassal, the final Archer monster.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Jan 30 2006, 08:03 PM

How might I go about S-Ranking Ledah? (The first time, so I can get Lorelei.)

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 30 2006, 08:18 PM

You get a lot (or at least the opportunity for a lot) of ice-based weapons in Mireno Cemetary. Use them. Also: Kill him before he transforms, otherwise it will take much more effort to put him down. He transforms at about 1500 HP, so time it that he takes his turn at 1600-2000, and then pummel him, finishing with a EXL or LVL3.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Jan 30 2006, 09:03 PM

This Fanelia Beam thing by the way, is it any good? Will it work on Ledah?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 30 2006, 09:13 PM

The Fanelia Beam hits 9 times for 999 damage. I think. I can't remember, but I also don't think you can get it before Ledah. Either way, it would kill him instantly and lose you the S-Rank.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Jan 30 2006, 09:22 PM

Actually, I just got the Fanelia Beam, but why would it lose you the S-Rank?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Jan 30 2006, 09:41 PM

Because the S-Rank is not only based on your time, but your finisher.
I don't know the exact numbers, but you have more time if you finish with EXL than LVL3, which you have more time than LVL2, etc.
I believe Rai said to get an S with a LVL0, the count would have to be zero when you beat it.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Jan 31 2006, 11:37 PM

Does it matter if you take more tries? Like, if you try 4 times, and you finally beat him, does it lower your rank?

Posted by: Dr Sturm Feb 1 2006, 12:02 AM

I'm pretty sure game over lowers your score.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Feb 1 2006, 01:14 AM

Dang it. Guess I've got no chance of getting Lorelei then. >___<

Posted by: Dr Sturm Feb 1 2006, 01:29 AM

You do. Just go back to a save before fighting him.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Feb 1 2006, 01:00 PM

I can't beat Ledah! AHHH!!! This is so annoying! I CAN'T BEAT HIM!

Posted by: Swifty-chan Feb 5 2006, 05:57 AM

0_0 Ledah is like, so easy. The only problem is: calculating the right time to use a lvl 3 skill to S rank him.

Posted by: Ryu_Dragon_King Feb 7 2006, 08:48 PM

w00ts! I S-Ranked him! But now I have to fight Malice. :(

Posted by: Swifty-chan Feb 8 2006, 09:33 AM

Did any of you peeps know that you have to have Aran Doll in order to get Upola Statue?

On my test save game, I gave my Aran Doll to Molan and spent hours resetting my GBA in order to get the Upola Statue in Tetyth... nope, no statue. Finally, in my second playthrough, I brought the Aran Doll to Tetyth and fish out an Upola Statue in my first try.

So much for the time I've wasted v_v'

Posted by: Raijinili Feb 8 2006, 08:29 PM

That would be interesting.

MUST TEST.

Posted by: Raijinili Feb 8 2006, 08:45 PM

Unfortunately, it seems that I can catch the Upola statue with all three states of the Aran Doll. This does not mean that the event doesn't have anything to do with the Upola statue, but just hacking the Doll won't be enough to do it.

Posted by: chilly Feb 10 2006, 08:36 AM

huh? darn! I was in the forest where you find that doll earlier today, but didn't get it. Oh well, guess I'll have to try and get that Upola statue on my 8th playthrough.

Posted by: Raijinili Feb 11 2006, 01:28 AM

Each item has up to four states. The first one is "unexistent", the second is usually "initial" and the third and fourth depend on the item and may not even exist.

Aran Doll's second state is when you get it. Its third is when you give it to Molan. It does not have a fourth state.
