Lacrima Castle _ Yggdra Union _ [POLL]Possibility of a Yggdra Union anime.

Posted by: Keith Kurogane Apr 18 2008, 12:35 PM

It is just me or YU will have an anime version since they released a manga version of it.

Posted by: Archeia Apr 18 2008, 12:38 PM

Most unlikely. Despite a lot of games having manga counterparts, they never had an anime (so far I think) e.x. Togainu No Chi, despite being so popular in Japan.

Posted by: Irysa Apr 18 2008, 01:32 PM

Manga is as far as it would go.

Posted by: Suzu Fujibayashi Apr 18 2008, 02:48 PM

Its very rare for a game to become an anime. The only one that springs to mind is Disgaea I believe. Just because they put in animated scenes does not mean they'll make a anime.

Although I just remembered Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia became OVAs if that counts.

Posted by: sandpenguin Apr 19 2008, 02:04 AM

Once in a blue moon mate.......no, it will never come out as an anime, though I hope so, but it won't.......well it's different if you're an anime maker.

Posted by: DustyHaru Apr 21 2008, 11:33 PM

I Seriously doubt it.

Posted by: Knightman Apr 23 2008, 02:46 AM

I always wanted to see Yggdra fighting by her own, but who says no?, Blue Dragon, TOP, TOS, FF and others until Zelda (this last doesn`t counts), but is obviously that YU can have anime, and the best is that could be like a bomb 4 all Yggdra fans, in japan I dunno about the existense of this, but there is a manga, I can´t see why not have anime as well.

btw this is only one reason XD, if I mentions others I never finish this topic..

Since when are we unforgiving to double posting, especially when it could possibly be an accident?

Your text is nigh on unreadable there.

And guess what, Yggda Union isn't anywhere near as popular as those, and doesn't have someone like Akira Toriyama behind it either.

Posted by: sandpenguin Apr 24 2008, 01:19 PM

I don't think so it would be an anime, the game must have a really, really high, popular by the masses to get to the attention of anime makers....even if IT CAN become an anime, just hope that some GOOD developer that make it, not some crappy developer.

Hey Keith cool down, maybe it's just a simple malfunction....see the time post....don't be so strict, it's just normal....

Dowsing rod........emm......wonder it can be used to detect landmines......

Aw! Been warned...
Sorry about that...
Internet and a bottle of Vodka don't mix together very well.
I have just watched Disgaea (after seeing it at some shady pirated DVD shop) and I frowned at its drawing style...
It seems that a Yggdra Union anime is like a punch aimed at the moon...

The moral lesson about what i did above?
Dont drink while browsing the internet. It changes you into a idiot...

The story is told in chapters. Prior to each episode, the narrator tells you what happened in the previous episode. I remember this method of storytelling from the Inuyasha anime. I'm sure other animes as well.

The story seems to be already setup for an anime. One battlefield per epidsode would be a little slow paced though. Maybe one episode per Chapter?

The writing in the game is anime-like too, with characters, once defeated, going to great lengths to explain their plans. Somehow I associate this method of storytelling with animes.

Posted by: Feral Phoenix Apr 28 2008, 12:21 PM

Hah. Yeah, right. It would be nice, but I doubt it would ever actually happen.

Posted by: Miki Trie' Oct 25 2009, 01:46 AM

Naw... there is no guarentee it will be an anime. Great if it would, gosh, I'd watch it everyday. I agree that a manga/doujinshi will be as far as it will go, yet, on youtube, the PSP opening may give it an oppertunity.

Posted by: Hayashi Tenshi Nov 25 2009, 06:26 AM

There is a very low chance of their being an anime but I really hope it does become one.
I actually thought about it and what if every episode was of the stages.
Would that like be 50+ episodes?

Posted by: Miki Trie' Nov 25 2009, 06:06 PM

I guess it will be 50, but it depends if it goes to the GBA or PSP version.

Some battlefields are merely skirmishes or don't carry any weight in the story, so I sincerely doubt they would cover all of them with an episode each.

If Yggdra Union was an anime, then what ending would they follow? I doubt they would go to the bad ending.

Yes, not each battlefield is the same.

Maybe they'll make an alternate episode for each ending? Like the episode can be like "Ep. 50 A, Ep. 50 B" <-- (assuming that it is 50.)

I just want to see Nessiah in like animation form! He only like got 6 seconds in the opening while Yggdra took all the spotlight. I know the game is all about her but, you know, the villains need some attention!

If they ever did (though I really don't see it happening) they need to get whoever worked on the visual aspect of the GA: Geijutuska Art Design Class anime to work on it. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_485YA3c9vf0/SlulGI01fEI/AAAAAAAACF4/ednMpMKKwp8/s400/ga-art-design-class-1.jpg https://www.fomos.kr/gnuboard4/data/file/free/3718139060_4d790ec5_28Anime29%2BGA%2BGeijutsuka%2BArt%2BDesign%2BClass%2B-%2B01%2BRaw%2B281280x720%2BDivX685295B280047622913-34-475D.JPG But like the opening to the PSP version was pretty bad visually in my opinion. :(

You think it's bad? I kinda like it. I just hate how they didn't give that much time to Nessiah!

It`s possible if the anime is a fan made, but I doubt that...
Since the manga isn`t the official story (only short story from different artist)
Or Is there any manga with official story?

There is one part of the manga that has the same artist as the characters, Satoko Kiyuduki

Solid manga would rock too, I'm currently working on my YU doujinshii. Nessiah wasn't bad in the PSP op. (How does he look any different?) I know G.A.. It's very humerous.

Oh! I would like to read it when you are done! Nessiah was messed up in the opening but still showed his beauty! What I mean by messed up is that they miscolored him.

Have you ever heard of Kuro by Satoko Kiyuduki? Its only a manga!

There is a volume three?! O.O
It says it's not even on there at Barnes and Nobles when I look it up on the computer!

Hopefully if it came out in english, Vic Mignogna or Yggdra's horrible old lady voice comes back!

I don't like Milanor's japanese voice because it makes him sound a little "girlish". I love Miyuki Sawashiro when she played Shinku from Rozen Maiden but Milanor? Eh...

Posted by: Miki Trie' Nov 26 2009, 02:02 AM

Ask the Kuro question again in the KURO link.
Milanor was played by Miyuki Sawashiro?! Huh. Yggdra's old lady voice hit me hard. But not as much as Nessiah's.

Oops! Sorry!!! Forgive me!!!

Yeah, it said that in the credits in the booklet of the PSP version.
I love Yggdra's english voice actor because I HATE HER! I'm sorry Yggdra Fans, but I just hate how she kills all my favorite characters!

Vic Mignogna looks normal to me!

Hahah! True, I think they just wanted to show ALMOST all the characters in the opening.

I guess you're right. They chose the uneeded/most unnoticed characters.

No, that song for a trailer. What I am referring to is a opening song. Like anime's you know, usually they have an opening and ending with singing. For example Rozen Maiden has Kinjirareta Asobi for Opening 1

Posted by: Hayashi Tenshi Jan 13 2010, 11:51 PM

Why do you have such low hope for an awesome game?

Posted by: Yuka Jan 14 2010, 01:48 AM

Because you're biased. The game is definitely not worth the sixty dollars it costs in Japanland, and if Sting attempts to sell it for that here, no one will buy it. It will get poor reviews for lackluster and slow gameplay, and the number recognition is faulty.

Posted by: Raijinili Jan 14 2010, 02:59 AM

The same reason you talk about what stats you would have if you were an RPG character.

Posted by: Keith Kurogane Jan 15 2010, 05:03 AM

I cant write the # 5 on YUnison...
I loved the game, the problem is the number recognition...

That happened to me as well in the game.

This also occured to be in Math Brainage, I couldn't write a four.

I think that's not the two reasons that the game can be poor reviewed, also, the fact that the game do not included on his Soundtrack any arrange from the original YU from GBA, I kinda miss Blitzkrieg ;_;
