New things to sacrifices? Ein sacrifices his wings, Ledah sacrifices his emotion, Malice sacrifices her future (she's not, really). Several OCs either sacrifices memories, voices, another wings, another memories, freedom, etc.
What left for new writer like me?
I think i'll make my characters sacrifices power or angels' holiness.
But what other choices i have rather than stealing people's idea? Help me!
Favor with the gods
Compassion
Speech
To have wings, but be grounded
To have eyes, but be sightless
To have a brain, but be stupid
To have a mouth, but taste nothing
To have hands, but hold nothing
To have arms, but hug no one
To have beauty, but be invisible
To have a choice, but be indecisive
To have a computer, but not Internet
To have a weapon, but not the courage to use it
To have a voice, but nothing to say
What is the true tragedy?
It's the fact that you call yourself a writer but you can't think of anything to give up.
I don't think intelligence would be a sacrifice the Gods would like, same with decisiveness and courage.
You don't need to be smart to follow orders. Same with decisiveness.
Courage I was doubtful of, but I was on a roll. And it was delicious.
Besides, "To have a choice" doesn't mean you're indecisive ALL the time.
At least how Hector was using them (emphasis on using), the Grim Angels were given general orders ("kill all humans"), but it was their decision how to go about it, when, where, if emergencies came up... etc.
We've also seen them in teams.
Sturm,
There are a ton of things to be sacrificed. If you can't spot them in everyday life there are things in other games like Drakengard or even in mythology.
I mean in Drakengard, there was a woman who sacrificed her ability to have children so that she may live (she wasn't all that sane afterward).
I'll give more examples at a later time.
Crapshackily I thought of two more to add to that list.
- To laugh, but not have a sense of humor. (Qualifies under emotion, but this I would do.)
- To get hurt, but not feel pain.
And I figure you guys probably thought about this.
They don't all have to be in that form. I just like irony.
